Keep deceiving yourself, those you think they care cannot come and fix your country for you, you can only rant and make them see you in a more ridiculous ways.

Will you call a Pig a cat just because it appears neat? If you tell me your home is disgraceful home, it mean you are not a product of good home, and nothing good would never come or expected from you.

Will you respect, trust or love your friend who insulted his/her parents, called them evil, and eventually sold his/her parents house.

Will you trust that kind of friend with your parents or house?

You wont know how illogical you sounds to rational minds by downgrading anything you are part of, until those you are appeasing start calling you out like this.
You sef don dey chop corn you sef don dey do abadomania good grief.
You're on a sinking ship jump ship now why you can and if you have the courage to.
Stop giving yourself false hope the politicians you're busy defending all have their families in Europe and abroad.
You think they care about you?

I always shame when I see Nigerians celebrating this.

Many of them are not innocent in the decay and disgrace that is Nigeria. Only difference is they are now in a country that will not tolerate what is tolerated in Nigeria.

Even if I have to take up such "shameful" course of action, it would be in quiet and private, nothing to celebrate in an economic refugee return to the same places ones ancestors did everything to escape captivity and slavery.
Well spoken

Nigerians talk too much and it's a problem...

here in the UK, Indians and Pakistan nationals, even Bangladesh to an extent are more than Nigerians living here but na only Nigerians go open camera just to celebrate visa and citizenship or to begin analyse how to Japa from Nigeria....

not saying it's a crime but the attention we draw to ourselves is too much... Just too much
That's the point. Nigerians are not the only economic migrants, but we tend to be the loudest.

The politicians today were not professionals yesterday with work in both public and private sector?

Stop fooling yourself that some innocent professionals have to japa because touts and agberos are running the country. The touts and agbero are still in the gutters and it is the very professionals you want to glorify and acquit that are running this country aground with their greed and lack of foresight, despite all the foreign exposure they have.
He is right, what are you on about. Which professional runs a whole country aground?
Those guys are touts and agberos wether you like it or not.

Labour is rewarded in those countries. He should mind his business. At the end of the day, a fraction of the money earned is sent back home. Nigeria benefits and the government didn't need to provide for one individual. It's not like the government ever favoured the average citizen to begin with.

When agberos, touts and school drop outs are ruining the country, professionals leave for greener pastures. Tell me how many of your leader's children are schooling in Nigeria. Tell me how many of them do not have a homes abroad. Tell me how many of our leaders have no foreign bank account that they stash our commonwealth in.
When you finish answering these questions, then tell me how many foreign Presidents, Prime Ministers, Heads of Government, etc buy houses in Nigeria or even come to Nigeria for medical.

You now see that those of you defenders of evil governments are the problem, not the professionals japaing.

Give some of them well paid jobs in Nigeria, they will rather choose to flip burgers and drive trucks abroad, just so they can pose in a winter jacket and head warmer.

You are comparing a tout and agbero to a commissioned officer who passed all necessary training and rose to be a Major General while also holding all notable leadership roles in the military and political military?

The certificate forger you refer to is a well known alumnus of the tertiary institutions he attended in the USA, with both picture and academic evidence of his scholarship in that institution. An Accounting technocrat who rose to become Treasurer at Mobil Oil of Nigeria that is today known as ExxonMobil. He has been a Senator, 2 term Governor of the most complex and economically vibrant state in Nigeria, a party leader who contributed political expertise that kept the democratic opposition alive for many years - something we now realise many still miss him when compared to the current rudderless opposition without patience or strategy.

Those who Japa are not in anyway academically or professionally superior to those who have become Governors and Senators and Ministers and Presidents in this same failed country. We have had Phd holders in political government, Professors, Medical Doctors, Senior Lawyers, Engineers etc and you want to paint a picture that they are touts and agberos, in order to make the ones who did not succeed in Nigeria feel good about their economic refugee status in foreign lands.

Only professionals have ruled this country and you will not excuse them from blame that should be borne by all whether they are within or now without.

Those who shamelessly celebrate their new citizenship are part of the failure that is Nigeria even in their own general followership and leadership in their little stations of authority while in Nigeria.
hehehehe abeg governor of edo state is not on the professional list.

At least there are places there to work your arses off without knowing anyone at all, without going into vicious crimes and terrorism to survive like they do here in Nigeria.

In Nigeria where you wan see job to work your arse off and be paid per hour wage?

Now in Nigeria, even cleaning job and other menial jobs you are required to kneel down and beg for those jobs. Kiss the floor the employer walks on. They will be asking you who is your Godfather for cleaning job o! Not to talk of the white collar jobs, those one the president has to be your uncle to land those jobs.

Sorry to break this news to you, you live in an informal economy.

The Very Professionals you are referring to are professionals of the 1970s to 1980s

If you've left Nigeria before to a formal economy then you'll see how far back your country has held you back and why the ones with the ability to Japa do so.

Blame party politics for this shamelessness. Party politics in the form of Opposition culture has been unfortunately very effective in Nigeria. Unfortunate because Nigeria practices a primitive, immoral form of opposition activism who's result has been the adlining of masses of Nigerians.

The celebrating and jubilating that the world observes of Nigerians isn't due to adverse conditions in Nigeria inversely proportional to the celebrating of abroad, but one due to the brain washing of Nigerians by Opposition Culture that seeks to cohers Nigerians into turning every aspect of thire lives into a sort of political attack against whatever party man is leading the Nation. Opposition has gotten masses of Nigerians fighting thire battles for them. So, jumping up and down in Heathrow airport is really about saying the government in power isn't good, and not really about the true condition of Nigeria.

The incredibley effective thing that Opposition politics culture of Nigeria did was to subliminally brainwash this type of dumb Nigerians, celebrating-aboad, believe that they are really happy to be leaving suffering behind and not about what it really is, which is the dopting of the Opposition politics battle against the prevailing government in power.

Life is too short to be wasted in suffering. You don't begrudge those leaving the country for better standard of living. Most people who felt secured at their level of income in the past don't feel same now, they are now struggling to balance the books.

Is there a politician whose children is not schooling abroad? What about health? What about the environment? What about house budget, is it stable?

Have you noticed how expensive local flight is in Nigeria now? I remember paying N15k for a trip to calabar many years back, today nko? We have been forced to travel by road, with our heart virtually in our hand, you know why? Insecurity.

It is the quality of life that drives people away from the country.

On celebrating new citizenship, Nigerians are even late to the party. Latinos and Indians have been doing it when Nigerians just quietly get in and out of the ceremonies.

I guess patriotism simply means turning away from reality...I refuse that kind of patriotism.

I'm personally aware of many citizens of other countries around the world such as Indians, Chinese, Ethiopians, Ghananians, etc, who became Canadian or U.S. citizens and celebrated their NEW citizenships online and offline. Even referencing centuries back, the 1800s and 1900s immigrants of Irish, Scot, Southern Italian, Danish, Swedish, Welsh, Japanese descents in the United States (who came in from various European [and Asian] countries by passenger ships through Ellis Island in NY and the West Coast of the United States) were elated to have arrived in the supposed land of fortunes and freedom.

So what the heck is this dude called Scott Bolshevik trying to talk about here to draw online attention to himself?

A lot of the rambling youngsters on this thread criticizing folks of Nigerian descent for being elated to have a second citizenship obviously know NOTHING! That's a FACT. These ones simply exhibit one of the WORSE kinds of low self-esteem ever then criticize others in government WITHOUT offering real world solutions for the advancement of their country.
