Since Wike is a political god, shouldn't u be happy that he'd be joining the APC freely and win all the South South votes for u guys in 2027?

Whether the PDP is able to field candidates in 2027 shouldn't be ur headache. That should be on the PDP.

What you guys should be doing now is counting your chickens, considering a potential Wike switch. Your party should be stronger now and invincible with Wike potentially joining.

Muazu Magaji, a former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kano State, has alleged that the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, lobbied members of the party’s committee constituted to advise the presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on the choice of his running mate.

Magaji disclosed this while speaking on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily, on Thursday.

The Kano politician also argued that there was no proof that Atiku promised Wike the vice president position as claimed.

The PDP committee had recommended the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa; Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel and Wike.

The committee, however, scored Wike above the other two contenders but Atiku decided to settle for Okowa. A decision that has since unsettled Wike’s camp.

Magaji, however, claimed that Wike lobbied to be scored ahead of others, adding that the Rivers State governor should not be trusted with important positions in the country.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as mere tokenism the reduction of petrol price from N97 to N87 per litre, saying the petroleum product ordinarily should sell for N70.

On Sunday, the federal government announced the reduction of petrol price, citing the fall of global crude oil price.

But the APC through Lai Mohammed, its spokesman, on Monday accused the government of making a show out of deceit, saying “a 10.3 per cent slash in the price of petrol was a mere tokenism at a time the price of crude oil has crashed by about 60 per cent”.

It argued that the pump price of a litre of petrol should not be more than 70 Naira, alleging that at N87 per litre, the government was forcing Nigerians to subsidise the massive corruption in the oil sector by N17 for every litre of fuel.

It will be difficult to finance the party since oil rich state is out, only Seyi makinde can not carry the financial aspect of the party and most northern state are not ready to commit to the party.

forget d lobbying news... Wike fayose and others have been shouting before d primaries, that the election should be a Southern affair... That it won't be fair for a Northerner to take over from another northerner.... The same issue made pdp/Jonathan lose d presidency and everything was orchestrated by Atiku.....
Now Atiku had his way won d primaries and wike camp went to Atiku, you've won, nominate wike as your vice.... To bring peace, Atiku refused and picked the delta governor... That same month tinubu sent delegates to wike... Now who is the biggest winner in all of dis scenario, definitely wike.... Atiku is no longer in pdp, he'll run in d next election and lose again.....
