Vince Gilligan shows are notoriously known for starting slow... circa BB and BCS but eventually picks up and becomes blindly good but an important caveat, is that, these were eras when the attention span of the world was still in intact and untainted by tik tok and the likes....

Now, my attention span and virtually most of the people viewing this, is most likely fried, and we have very very little patience, for shows that do not at least, get to the point, 3 episodes in already. The show has been placed on a very high pedestal, that i don't think it deserves. The pilot was called the "pilot of the decade", and after seeing it, and seeing how ordinary it was, i was left wondering why. This recent episode is rated a whopping 100% on RT!. So all these has lead me to my main rift with the show which is, it is nothing groundbreaking as of yet, like I have seen it before, and probably better, i dunno if you saw "Sense8", it looks like a rejigged version of it.

After seeing these initial episodes, i ain't particularly too eager to complete it tbh, and They have a plan to make about 4 seasons of it, and i am left wondering how 😒😒

And Ps...The premise "A woman trying to save the world from happiness" drew me in, because i thought they met it metaphorically and she was a very very unhappy and depressed bastárd, which would have made for a better plot, only to find out they meant it literally fgs 😭😭

I get it though. There are alot of great shows, I struggled with bored while watching e.g Stranger Things, Dark etc.

Sometimes it’s personal biase, if i know its not an action genre I’d avoid it thinking it won’t interesting; like The Apothecary Diaries, which turned out to be a. Banger!

Twas just too funny, this first episode. From Ainsley interview( her interviewer was just digusted) to the dinner. The speech was goated, finishing everybody. After she was done, I had to watch it again.

No matter, I will answer you. I am enjoying the story telling, the concept of the series itself is new in a way. Then there are the theories lol (this part if you have a nerdy partner you would really enjoy). what you called “filler” was actually important information. Is it that the virus doesn’t affect miserable people. Carol can’t seem to enjoy anything but again there can’t be just 12 miserable people in the entire world. Why do they make effort to keep contacting her like their lives depends on it? So many questions.

Don’t forget it is Drama, very slow burn. it is okay if you don’t enjoy drama. For most parts i don’t too but this one I must see it to the end.
