It's a big disrespect for a Navy lieutenant to be guarding a land. The military personnel stopped Wike and the FCT officials from gaining access to the land, this alone is a crime. They stopped government officials from doing thier job

I'm presently in a western country, militaries don't intervene in civil matters like that. In Israel, a police corporal can arrest a general if he commits a crime outside the barracks not to talk of the general abusing his power like the former CNS did.

The soldiers have no business guarding that land. They have no power and right to stop FCT officials from carrying out thier duty.

Yes, military doesn't take order from a civilian Governor, if there is an existing order from a high ranking military officer, they only take order from a President. That is why the president is the Grand Commander of the Federal Republic.

Ordinary police sef don't take orders directly from governors in Nigeria, they have to pass through the police command structure.

Are you aware of the security detail that a retired CNS is entitled to? And that they are to provide security to him AND. his property? Wike is a political appointee not an elected official. Even an elected Governor cannot stand down a soldier on orders.

Why do people keep bringing this up? Police man bounced current Lagos State governor (Sanwo Olu) in Magodo...this is a duely elected official... not an appointed Minister.

Military do not take orders from Civilians.. Only the president and that's because he is Commander in Chief so technically not a civilian until he leaves office.
