I disagree. No matter how bad you are at the world cup, it's not really a disgrace. But to lose out in the qualifiers is the real disgrace. You no see am? Failing to qualify in the midst of the likes of Benin, Rwanda, Lesotho, South Africa? C'mon, that's the real disgrace. And losing a Play off match to Dr Congo
I noted before that Nigeria has no business playing in the WC playoffs....we have the talent to have qualified us above south Africa and Benin republic. Oh what a shame!

No wonder Trump called us a disgraced country
How do y'all expect to play good soccer when some people are using the funds meant for football administration to buy Rolls Royce and build mansions?

Let's be honest... Midfield still needs iwobi. Also the coach would hv kept chukwueze and being ejuke to replace lookman. Chukwueze was playing both wing nd midfield and it was stabilized then.
The moment chukwueze and iwobi was removed, everything scattered.

Since APC came to power, our sporting sector have completely collapsed. So long as APC continues to govern Nigeria, peace, joy and achievement will continue to elude Nigeria.

That same Atalanta is the reason he's not performing with the way they're torturing him. Prior to his issues there, he was a sharp player, African footballer of the year, try to follow things... No be Lookman fault.

See wetin Iwobi do, no effective cross, he lost possession, Ndidi no fit brake ball, dem equalize. Chukwueze, nothing to write home about.

If not for Benjamin Frederick, una for chop like 3-1

In the end, I don't blame the players na Nigerian system I blame. NFF and co have been a useless bunch and it's enough to lose motivation.

Till 2030! ✌🏽

Congo played better than Nigeria

The entire Team should be sent packing

Let’s start using new breeds, even if it’s from under 17, in the next 4 years they would have formed a team.
Not all these individual players making millions and thinking playing for Nigeria is a favour they are doing the country

Guess they have received all their bonuses. Can they offer to forfeit it and maybe use it to build a school or construct a bad road to show regret?

Nwabali saved two penalties, the players still ruined the moment by missing another. There's something fundamentally wrong with this SE team.

Abeg, those 2 didn't do jack. Midfield was leaking, they couldn't supply anyone in front.

Iwobi lost possession and Ndidi couldn't control ball, they equalized. These 2 guys made us lose to Congo tonight.

They can all focus on their clubs now. We don't need anyone of them again. Their AFCON sef, I no get interest.

I wi I is just an attacking midfielder that has limitations. When Ancelloti was coaching Everton there was a time he made a remark that he doesn’t know the position he is good at. In other words he was just managing him because he has no options
Iwobi should leave super Eagles. His role can be played by anybody in Nigeria. He won’t be missed in the Super Eagles team.
Anyways, he’s got connections and will still be invited

Can someone please explain to me cos I don’t understand.
It was after that 46th minute substitution of Osimehn that the pressure came on the Super Eagles.
Pressure was there in the first half too

Anybody wey sabi ball knows Iwobi is our best midfielder! Forget emotions and tell the truth! Is there any player in this world that doesn’t give the ball away every now and then? πŸ€”
It is a shame to Nigerians , if Iwobi is the best mildfielder for Super Eagles.
There are players who were never given opportunity because of this foreign based player and you won’t know their worth

Iwobi should never come back!

When will we be honest with ourselves? Four years ago we didn’t qualify…same today and it’s not because we are not good… we always wait till the last minute before we get serious that right there is the issue. Goals that they should have been scoring at the beginning of the qualifiers they were freelancing until we had to score all the goals we could to secure playoffs(which is a shame for giant of Africa that has won afcon many times) you now get to finals and relax after scoring one goal….to make matters worse they keep passing back unnecessarily for what I don’t know instead of putting pressure on your opponent you always put yourself in a defensive state.

I really don’t know how to feel everything about this country is what somebody can’t explain. We are really under a siege good night Abeg today na Monday work continues.

He was the one that caused the first goal of Congo.,he lost the ball and didn't even track back to get it back ,he plays as if he is the team coach and is only on the Feild to watch what others are playing

Dalohad:
The guy is too lackluster and plays like he is in his father's bedroom..

The weakest link in the midfield..

Always losing the ball to the opponent at the slightest challenge.

In fact, in Jose Morinho's football philosophy, Iwobi is the 12th man playing for the opponent. A proper liability to the team.

I hope no one is surprised at the abysmal outing of your so-called national team, the Super Eagles. No honest and reasonable person should expect anything good from a god-awful country like Nigeria. A place where corruption is rife, and NFA officials would embezzle the whole funds earmarked for the event without fear. Nigeria is in a state of comatose, but the problem is that most Nigerians, including corrupt politicians, are under the illusion that their country is the giant of Africa and possesses sufficient or even superior knowledge, thus having no reason to see the reality on the ground. As long as the country maintains the current trajectory, it will always be on the losing end!
