The Nigerian authorities must ensure secure and safe rescue of the 12 persons abducted by gunmen at Gidan Waya Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State, in an attack in which 4 people were killed. Among those abducted are minors of 13, 14 and 15-years old The attack which took place in the night of 11 November 2025 is yet another indication of the stunning failure of the Nigerian authorities to protect lives and ensure accountability for all human rights crimes Since 2016 rural communties in some parts of Northern Nigeria have been living at the mercy of gunmen. The violence has forced many farmers and their families to flee their homes. Amnesty International has been documenting the alarming escalation in attacks and abductions in several states in north west and north central Nigeria. Worst affected are villages in the Plateau Zamfara, south of Kaduna State, Benue and Katsina.

Racoon:Learn to be precise and factually correct with talk. It is mainly the North and SE that has "terrorist running amok". People of both region should work harder and more sincerely to find solutions for their self-inflicted terrorism woes rather than hide behind "Nigeria is terrorised" excuses. Like Atiku and Obi who wish to be President, and attack Tinubu daily over insecurity, yet we don't see either organising leaders in their region to find solutions to terror and bandit-linked insecurity in the North and SE. |

Amnesty International is now playing the part of our conventional media because they have all been captured and put on payroll to suppress news. |

WizardOfNG:The North and the SE? Thats like 70 or 80% of Nigeria. Why is 80% of your country overrun by insecurity? |

gidgiddy:Ask Igbos and Fulanis that silly question. Not a Yoruba man whose regions is an example of the few geographical spaces in Nigeria, to include the SS, with people doing the right thing by Nigeria while you lot and Northerners continue to irresponsibly push for the destruction of our nation. If Nigeria is full of pragmatic and critical-thinking folks then they would have long named and shamed you lot and Fulanis so that you fix up and stop being a menace to an entire nation same as a thief bothering a village will be named, shamed and disgraced. |

AMINDA:Atiku's deceptive and manipulative number one fanboy is at it again. You tout your master as best and fittest President material. Yet, when are you going to direct him to take charge and play a part in finding solutions to insecurity his ethnic group has foisted on the North and Nigeria as a whole? Did SW leaders need to have one of their own as President before they led by example to tackle Fulani terror circa 2020 to 2021 with their uncompromising fight against Malami to birth Amotekun that is today the best complementary regional security force to the NPF? Atiku failed Deborah, avoids taking responsibility for the problems Northerners have caused themselves and continues to attack Tinubu daily while failing to advocate a single solution for addressing the horrible insecurity his people have caused Nigeria. His style has always been to demand the Presidency as a precursor for him being able to address problems. Whereas Tinubu has never done that and has been the perfect example of a proper leader in office (as Governor) and out of office ( post 2007) who achieved a lot and delivered spectacular solutions, especially per Insecurity, without Presidential power. No one is fooled by your attempt to detract from Atiku's natural incompetence and proven lack of leadership capacity with your constant attempt to undermine the current government in power. You are wasting your own time and life with the nonsense you put up here daily that will not prevent Tinubu gaining a second time and will certainly never help Atiku become President. Let him instead focus on delivering peace and security for his troubled region , he does not need the Presidency to achieve , so he may at least leave the world with a legacy of leadership goodness. |

WizardOfNG:It all goes to show that the unity of Nigeria is pointless. If a country has about 80% of it overrun by insecurity, its a big indication that such a country is a failed country. A country that the government has no answer to its security challenges Such a country should either be renegotiate, or left to self destruct under the weight of insecurity |
