I never see this kind one oo...but I dey wait ...My mother who rented the apartment to the said tenant ..keeps on saying that she will tell him and write a formal notice to him of the expiration of rent .please note , the said tenant rent has expired by 2months..

As the landlords Son....can I talk to my tenant about the expiration of rent or I should monitor the situation and enforce the payment of the rent before this year runs out?

Keep your respect. Ask your mom to serve him the formal notice. Else, next time na 6months e go owe.

Unless you need the rent for sustenance (which I'd say commot eye from "my mama property")

Bros .I no dey put eye for mama property....I would not like a situation where my mother would be having issues with a tenant...and besides for someone's rent to expire by 2months ...the year is almost ending..when does he now want to pay?

I shared my own opinion. Since the tenant dud not have any contract with me, I'll not approach them personally. Have a conversation with Mama, when she notifies the guy, but still doesn't pay.

No bother approach the tenant. Take Mama to a lawyer and serve the guy a quit notice. If he no pack, arrest am.
