Osimhen has anger issues, a very arrogant attitude, if he doesn’t manage it, he won’t go far in his career
Osimhen bow out because the game was embarrassing... Did you see any accurate pass made to him? All passes was between defenders and goalkeeper... It was almost impossible for SE to get ball pass midfield. 95% of the ball that made it pass midfield was a long unorganized shot from the keeper or defenders.

Osimhen needs good feeders for him to score, no one was feeding him ball

I expect the NFF Officials to have resigned this morning.
They should be sacked if they cannot otherwise football is dead in Nigeria

All in all... we got what we deserve...

Yes we sneaked through the back door, with our below-par performance during the group stage, but the chicken has finally come home to roost.

The manager: we got what we paid for. Simple as ABC. Is he a good manager? Maybe, but tactically was he good. No. As they say, "you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear" means it is impossible to make something of high quality or value from poor or inferior materials.

Iwobi in the middle. How did that benefit Nigeria at the AFCON final last year? At the very crucial stage, he let us down. The reality here is that no manager worth it salt will not play Iwobi in the Middle. Since Ademola won the AFCON Ballon'dor, his form has dropped. Simon and Chuckwu Eze have been poor since the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon, so this leads me to Scouting? Who invites the players? who are the scouts? The Congolese made sure the ball never reached Osimeh, they stifled both Ademola and Chuckwu Eze and the SE Manager did nothing. Osimeh worked like a dog on his own with little to no service, then we started lumping long balls upfront because our midfielders didn't want the ball common. This is not the 1980s. We turned to 1980s Wimbledon.

Then the penalties

Before the penalties, we took off a striker, and the Congolese manager added more forwards onto the field. At the end, we had three defenders in a shootout. I am still thinking about when we last had a shootout where 3 defenders were in the first 5

Anyway 2026, we should stay home and fix our country. The Congolese team is an example of never underrating your opponent. Before last night's game, so many Nigerians were concentrating on the potential opponent from CONCACAF or ASIA, forgetting about the team in front of them. The Congolese were organised, very fit, had a plan, and they stuck to their plan.

Good luck to the Congolese and the other African teams at next year's World Cup

The super eagles are wingless; you hardly see them spring 4 to 5 passes without interception from the Congolese. It really showed the team lack cohesion with no creativity from the midfield which affected Osihmen chances of scoring. Moving forward, the team needs a creative midfielder before AFCON

The Congolese players wanted it and they won it. Super Eagles players were playing like pregnant women. They look like players without ambitions except the goal keeper.

What a shame!

Massa, just have some pride and come back here to collect your virtual slaps when the black stars return from the World Cup as winners or in disgrace, whichever one happens.

By the way, your yabbis so far is poor, up your game please.

Playing in Europe in an average club comes at a cost. Better to be in a local league and keep the fire burning than play in a below average club and assume you are there!
Bassey and sagging , how can you take such a player seriously.
Imagine having your number 10 on the bench! Who is distributing the passes then?
Ndidi who is a midfielder cannot even get a shot on target from close range.
Iwobi who cannot play a true pass keeps starting. At least now, he will have enough time to dance Awilo and shake his Longomba!
Thanks DR Congo, you guys saved Nigeria from global embarrassment. A fit national team with coordinated FA would have embarrassed this crew at the mundial..
By the way, the coach, whatever he is called thinks it is voodoo that made his team lose the match. What a travesty!

You made a great comment but I am not sure you have watched the current u-17 play 😆 . They are even worst.

Gone were those days our u-17 and u-20 teams were spectacular. Our selection system is terrible at the moment. It's more of man know man instead of ability.

NFF is the major root cause of this decadence.
Hahaha 😅😅

I haven’t watched them

But if they recruit them based on merits, then they’d get better tongue

Iwobi was picked from thousands of kids globally to be part of Arsenal’s youth academy. He did very well and was one of the few academy kids that turned pro.

Then as a professional, he played for Arsenal and then Everton. Now he plays for Fulham. You think it’s child’s play to be a professional footballer playing in the most competitive league in the world? And you are there behind your computer calling him foreign based player like he’s one scrub just picked from the street in Europe to come and take opportunities from some home based player that probably looks up to Iwobi as an idol.

Do you know how competitive professional football is? It’s like a lottery. Only one in a million makes it to where Iwobi is. You clearly have no idea how difficult it is to be a professional footballer playing in the premier league week in and week out. If you did, you would put more respect on Iwobi’s name.
Maybe that was then. But for now, he should go.
There’s a reason he’s also not in Arsenal

It seems you are Iwobi or his brother.
He should GO
He is not needed in the Super Eagles. Tell him that!

If he was that good as you think, he would have been playing in the top teams, or even England.

Mind you, there are not millions of Arsenal youth players that need to graduate every season to the senior team. Parents sponsor their kids to play in Arsenal youth treat because it adds to their profile and they can also be seen by scouts

This is the summary!!!

Nigerian players weren’t hungry to win
All these Millionaires in Pounds or Dollar, feel bit proud.
Wish one of the managers will come put in some discipline into these players. Someone like Mourinho or someone who would insist no dyeing of hairs and no goatee. If you don’t want to comply, you leave!
