There's a possibility of that happening because there are now a lot of so called repented bokoharam fighters that are recruited into the army that can easily leak info to bokoharam.

For a general to be capture & killed while majors flee on foot to base means hundreds of foot soldiers were killed.

In nigeria, a field marshal is a ceremonial rank reserved for the president/gcfr.

A brigadier general is a one star general, a major general is a two star general, a lieutenant general is a 3 star general, a general is a 4 star (e.g president and commander in chief), and a field marshal is a 5 star general.

This is heartbreaking! When other African countries were experiencing political crisis, Nigeria deployed ECOMOG soldiers to go fight their battles. Why can't they now call for reinforcement from those countries since it appears that Nigerian soldiers can't fight this battle alone?
