Nigerian man in the UK found dead inside his home five days after he passed

This is a sad story for the man. May we not die at the course of trying to have a good life.

UK happened to him. Adversity no de UK? Overwork is killing a lot of Nigerians because as Nigeria is called bad, they have never worked like that in their lives.

The major problem with the west is that they lack community like Africa but before you all cast aspersions at the West, let me remind you that there are stories like this too in Nigeria. If you read crime stories, you will see it. And with the way Nigerians are fast approaching Western way of life and minding their business, I won't be surprised if we see this kind of news on Nairaland in Keffi soon.

Always check on your people guys. Especially those living in the diaspora cos everyone is on their own oo. You may not see your immediate neighbour who lives under same roof with you for months. You'd only be hearing "gbim" sound of the door ni.

The way they overwork themselves is unbelievable. I was in canada recently, also touched the US briefly. My old friend in canada hardly stayed at home. Once he made my amala with orisirisi soup, he don waka be dat. He works in 2 places and the moment he manages to enter, he'd hit the bed straight and before you say welcome back, he's already snoring.

It's not easy out there. To sleep and not wake up due to stress after overworking yourself cos of bills to settle go dey common.

And to those living in the diaspora, abeg make una no enter any expenses wey go drain una oo. We know you want to make this money but pls consider your health first and always. Count your cost before you run into that mortgage or car loan. Don't try to live with the Joneses. My humble advice.

Take care of yourself while working hard

Everything is not money. Picking shifts like you iron man.

I have a friend that died in his fault also here in Lagos ...he rotten there and was smelling ...he came back from Europe the kids didn't come back with him the wife Na oyibo she no cone back and side is like 67 yrs and how will he start life again and he had prostrate issues

Nigeria mentality! Pastors go don cash out for your head weller because according to your pastor, anything bad is from the devil and needs prayer, even if it's just a common headache. We need to be more health conscious!

This is often the case in most Nigerian crime news. The stench is what calls people's attention to the death. In fairness, I don't think Nigeria will have it as worse as the West except it is someone trying to hide bodies because people must observe you. People even observe their enemies to know if they are still alive or well for another fight

We all need people. We should get to a stage in life where someone must know your whereabouts or live with you. But what am I even typing? The dead person no longer cares, it makes no difference if anyone found their dead body earlier or not, only the living cry after the dead

Western life is very cold there when it comes to community. People that can cut off their immediate family, how much more for a mere colleague.

People criticize Nigerians and their aproko attitude but it has its benefits. We all need PEOPLE
