If in a saner clime, he should have tendered his resignation letter to the house of assembly as early as this morning... But behold, this is Nigeria.

Until the Nigerian armed forces get rid of its saboteurs, they will keep losing the fight against insecurity.

Your story is incomplete, Mr. Gomina.

The security men don't have a service or force whose name they bear?

You mention the name of the security agency that provided the intel of an impending attack. But you remain silent on the name (or names) of the security agency (or agencies) who were deployed to guard the school - and who then failed to do their jobs. Why is this country like this? undecided
Spot on.
And since they snapped pictures with them, definitely there should be pictures of the students and the some of the security men.

KEBBI SCHOOL KIDNAP: GOVERNOR FUMES OVER ALLEGED FAILURE TO ACT ON CREDIBLE INTELLIGENCE

https://x.com/DejiAdesogan/status/1990654506657370115?t=IYDfHZg7NVu-0T8ERuR5bQ&s=08[/quote]This is pathetic... if they was a hint of mass kidnap of students... then why were not more proactive decisions taken...

The security personnel leaving 30 minutes before the terrorists arrival imply that they got the tip-off... and either shylishly escaped or obeyed orders to vacate location for the terrorists...

Teaching young and tender students drills is not meaningful... more proactive decisions amongst other options could have been:..
1. closing down the school for a while...
2. making public announcement of the disclosed intelligence... so that everyone get involved in watching..
3. installing real time surveillance system in location and routes where such terrorists would ply through...
4. mounting security check points at multiple locations close to target location...

Let every life count... negligence is not an excuse... and the result of bad work is rework...
Re: We Failed To Act On DSS Intelligence - Kebbi State Governor (Pictures) by Wally83: 9:27am On Nov 18, 2025
That is negligence. Those involved should be dealt with.

The governor lamented that deployments were made to secure the school. The heavily-armed security men spent time taking photographs with the students, only to abandon them 30 minutes before the attack.

Abandon them for what?

It’s a shame..
U dey believe the governor??
Hahahahahahahaha!!......If u believe DSS gave them any yeye intelligent report and they truly deployed Security ..u must believe I'm the president of france....

Awon weréy......they are all in on it.... The state governors and bandits are all cashing out from this terrorist activities.....soon they will negotiate billions of naira to rescue them and which will also double as a show off strategy to Nigerian and the United states ..

Whosoever ordered the officers to leave the post should be questioned seriously.

The Borno Governor (Zulum), for all his faults did not shy away from calling a spade a spade. On several occasions, he called out the Nigerian army for dereliction of duty, when very strange things were happening in the theatre of war. The videos are online and thankfully, they tell the true story of the things that took place in Borno at the time.

That's part of why I shake my head when so many people heap undeserved praise on the military - when the evidence before us suggests that there is a lot wrong (a whole lot wrong) with the way they are conducting their operations across the country. People have forgotten how Mubi fell (before it was retaken by government forces) and the entire town was full of both civilians and military personnel fleeing the advance of boko haram terrorists. undecided

The governor needs to tell us who was posted to guard this school. Was it the police, the military or a joint task force? When we are ready to tell ourselves the truth we know what to do.

This has become a recurring decimal

Actionable intelligence gets put out, yet those supposed to act on do nothing.

Also, is that the DSS cannot act on their own Intel?

Must they wait for other arms to take responsibility?
DSS job is to gather Intel. The army, navy, police are to act on them.
Re: We Failed To Act On DSS Intelligence - Kebbi State Governor (Pictures) by mistacoco2:
most Governors do not take security agencies intelligence seriously hence insecurity strives in the country. This should serve as a deterrent for other government offficials to take security agencies intel seriously. Thumb up to the DSS

The USA accused the Federal government and some state governments of spurring terrorism and banditry, and Muslims all over Nigeria started wailing.
Propaganda started that Trump was coming to kill Nigerians

since you are not going to name and shame the security agencies and individuals who sabotaged the state security intelligence/efforts and the supposed nameless "Director" who you claim to have appointed at preventing exactly this kidnapping incident which the DSS warned you about, then why waste your time setting up a useless panel of enquiry to investigate what is clear as day to any one who can read and understand English Language. The buck stops at your table so you have no one to blame other than yourself. Go and bring those girls back or resign from that position because you are obviously not competent enough to be a Governor.

We can blame the forces all we want, but they are exhausted already.

They are fighting terrorists in the bushes and terrorists hiding amongst them.

What is needed now is a new force with a new orientation.

But if northern Muslims would still populate the new force like the ones currently on ground, then the problem of sabotage and sympathy for jihadists would continue to sabotage every other efforts to quash these bad guys.

Are southern Nigerians ready to be enlisted in such a force only to have their lives cut short, answer is NO!

It's either Nigeria government employ the use of foreign mercenaries or they divide this country via a referendum.

Otherwise, a time shall come, the whole country would be overan by these blood sucking demons.

Speak for yourself sir...who is "WE"

The correct thing to say Is I failed to act on DSS intelligence.

DSS knew about the attack.

I hope the girls are brought back safely....by the way the governor should be made to pay the ransom and release our girls from the torture they are being put through.

Do you know why nobody has dared mentioned the religion of the victims of this kidnap?
Can someone guess why?
Because they are Muslims!

Why can't the DSS do the task themselves if they are reliable?
If it's to arraign MNK before the court they will be the first to do that.
.

That is not the job of DSS, every security agency has its resposibilties stipulated in the act that sets it up. One of the major responsibilities is sharing intelligence with other security agencies.
