For those coming to Vancouver, Metro Vancouver, BC axis for work or study next month or in January. I have a one bedroom available for rent. Hit me up if you are looking for accommodation and don't pay that airbnb or hotel bills. |

I'm working in another country and I received an ITA. My leave would be by April next year. My question is, if my PR application is successful, can I travel from a different country let's say, like country B if my passport was stamped in country A? |

Please I need help o. I went to university from 2013 to 2019. I did induction in 2019 December and started internship in May, 2020. I am currently using the internship work to claim crs points. However, my statement of result and certificate reads November 2020. While filling my express entry profile, I filled my education period as November 2013 to November 2020 (the date on my certificate) but this creates some overlap in my personal history in the sense that it now appears like I was doing internship while also studying. Before I could change it, I got an ITA. Please would it be ok to change my graduation date to 2019 now that I already got an ITA? I plan to attach a LOE together with my provisional practice License which was given on induction day in December 2019 and my transcripts which shows 2019 on my final year, with the intention of explaining that I met all degree requirements and was even given provisional licence before my certificate was issued. Or should I desist from making any changes and submitting LOE? Please this is urgent. Thanks. One more thing please,,,, Where does one upload a LOE for this situation? I can't seem to find any space.... Or is it in the section where I am to upload my certificate and transcripts? |

Your counterfoil is not tied to the country of submission. Once your passport is stamped with PR visa and COPR is issued, you can travel from any country as long as the passport and visa are valid. Just make sure you carry all documents when landing in Canada. Zeemaan: |

Do not change any dates after ITA. It can trigger review or refusal for inconsistency. Keep the education dates as submitted. What you need is a clear Letter of Explanation. Write that you completed academic requirements in 2019 and received your provisional license at induction, but your certificate was officially issued in 2020. Many schools do this and IRCC understands it. In your LOE attach: • Transcript showing final academic year as 2019 • Provisional license dated 2019 • Certificate dated 2020 Explain that internship began after academic completion and was required for professional practice. That removes the overlap concern. LOE goes under the Optional Documents section or attached together with your degree upload. No need to panic. Just explain it clearly. IRCC has seen this before. Foreign skilled experience is proven mainly through a reference letter from your employer. IRCC expects the letter to have: • Company letterhead with address and contact • Your full name and job title • Start date and end date • Hours per week • Salary • Detailed list of job duties that match your NOC Attach supporting documents: • Pay slips • Employment contract • Bank statements showing salary • Tax or pension records if available If the employer cannot provide all details, add a Letter of Explanation and include what you have. IRCC checks duties first, not the job title. Donpre: |

eDokita:Lol, you don't need any help, and you don't need to take any other action than just wait. Your application is going through a final review before you get the passport request, it can sometimes take weeks after FD, nothing unusual. |

I need help Pls. What's the maximum hours of part time employment one needs to make up for `1 year of active employment in a desired NOC? My NOC is pharmacy but I only do Pharmacy related activities on weekend basis as it is not my main employment. I know a full time is 40hrs/week. Please what about Part time. Again, How outdated can reference letters be. Its 3-5 years ago so outdated? |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by BigdaddyPR: 12:09pm On Nov 19, 2025 |
Lady250:IRCC considers 1,560 hours as one year of full-time work experience. This equals 30 hours per week over 52 weeks, which is their definition of full-time. If you work part-time, you simply add up all the hours you have worked until the total reaches or exceeds 1,560 hours. Get a recent reference letter. |

Hello guys, please help needed. For someone who claimed 4years work experience to be from one clinic and has only 6months bank statement from that clinic cause the person worked for just 6months with that particular clinic before travelling out. The person has 4years experience with other clinics in nigeria but wanted to use reference letter from one clinic. The question is: can the person change the work experience to reflect the other clinics after ITA has been issued? After that 4years the person traveled out and has since bin outside for almost 2years working in a similar role (Making it a total of 6years work experience). Please advise. Thank you. |

Please I want to ask if one can change primary NOC post ITA. So I was not sure when I got my ITA, entered the poll last Tuesdays and got ITA on last Friday. So didn’t have time to rethink things or was not sure (my faults tho’) I have 2 experiences in healthcare and social services. I thought because the previous one was one year that was what will qualify me for healthcare (my current job is just 11 months). After ITA I reached out to my former employee only to realise they have sacked my former managers and the news one are not willing to provide a detailed letter. I later read somewhere that all I need for healthcare category was 6 months experience which would have been easy to prove. I’ve gotten all I needed from my current management. Do you think I can change my primary NOC to my current job which is also under the healthcare category and was also part of the occupations in the last draw. Primary NOC on my EE profile is 33102 and the NOC for my current job is 42201. Honestly I’m currently all over the place and not sure. |

Ikelotanna:Why can't you submit the 6 months statement that is available? Remember the statement of account for work experience is a supporting document and not a mandatory requirement. It seems to me like you are putting unnecessary pressure on yourself. But let the gurus in the house advise you further. |

Your degree does not need to match your work experience. IRCC only checks that your NOC job duties match your actual work history. Many people studied one field but work in another and still got PR Donpre: |

If you already see COPR details on your tracker but no PPR or RFV email yet, it usually means your portal login will come next. People with similar timelines often receive the portal instruction within one to three weeks after seeing COPR appear. Keep checking your email, including spam, If nothing comes after three weeks, send a webform or call IRCC. Windsor and Etobicoke VO have been slow lately, so slight delay is normal. You are close. Just monitor your email and be ready for the portal invite. eDokita: |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by yingman: 7:57pm On Nov 19, 2025 |
For Express Entry, IRCC counts part time work the same as full time. One year means 1560 hours. You can reach it with any combination, for example 15 hours per week for two years or weekend shifts over a longer period. Your NOC must match your duties, not your main job title. If you have consistent pharmacy duties even on weekends, those hours can count. Reference letters should be recent, but even if the work happened years ago, the letter is still valid as long as it covers the correct dates and duties. Just add LOE explaining why the letter is old if needed. So, weekend pharmacy work is fine. Just calculate total hours and make sure duties match your NOC. Lady250: |

Possap often rejects foreign cards. Try these options that others abroad used successfully: • Use virtual cards from Flutterwave or Paystack. • Ask a trusted person in Nigeria to make the payment with their card, then send you the receipt. • Some use Pay4Me App or Barter USD card to pay online. After ITA you should not change your primary NOC unless the new NOC matches the work experience you already claimed in your profile. Changing it can trigger extra review. But if your current job has full documentation and duties that clearly match NOC 42201 and it is also in the healthcare category used in the draw, you can use it as your primary experience. Just make sure: • You have at least 1560 hours for that NOC • Your reference letter is strong and detailed • Your job duties match the official NOC description If the previous job cannot be verified and your current one is easier to prove, it is safer to focus on the one you can document well. You must explain it in a short LOE. IRCC only wants clear and consistent proof. Strong documentation is better than weak claims. You can still proceed if all evidence supports NOC 42201. Harykemi: |

yingman:honestly thank you. I didn’t know what I was thinking when I added my previous job when my current job is enough with verifiable proves. I’ll also try the suggestion for Possap. Should I just add my former job in personal history ? |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by yingman: 9:13pm On Nov 19, 2025 |
Yes, you can list your former job only in Personal History. That section does not require proof. Harykemi: |
