RIVERS ENEMIES PAINTING STATE LIKE DEVIL WITH INVISIBLE HORNS- Gov. Fubara

In the theatre of politics, perception is often wielded as a weapon more potent than truth. Rivers State has, in recent months, become the battleground of competing narratives—some rooted in fact, many engineered in mischief. It is against this backdrop that Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara delivered a blunt, unambiguous message: the enemies of Rivers State have tried to paint the state like a devil with invisible horns.

For six months, the state endured what the Governor aptly described as a period of “governance disruption.” A well–coordinated machinery of misinformation sprang to life, taking advantage of the political tension to portray Rivers as a land in flames, a place where governance had crumbled and insecurity reigned. These detractors saw opportunity in crisis, amplifying fear, sowing division, and exploiting uncertainty for selfish political gain.

But truth, no matter how delayed, always resurfaces.

Governor Fubara, speaking with clarity and calm, reaffirmed that normalcy has fully returned. Governance is back on course. Institutions are functioning. Peace has been restored—not as a slogan, but as a lived reality for the ordinary people and businesses across the state. The so-called “horns” painted on Rivers State were never real; they were figments of the imagination of those threatened by progress and stability.

What the anti-Rivers forces tried to achieve was simple: destabilize the state, weaken public confidence, and create a climate of fear that could be politically harvested. But their script failed. Instead, Rivers people saw through the charade. They witnessed a governor who refused to be distracted, who chose maturity over aggression, and who kept his eyes firmly on development rather than drama.

Today, Rivers State stands not as a place of disorder, but as a testament to resilience. The administration is pushing forward with its reforms—strengthening institutions, opening new avenues for economic growth, expanding opportunities for youth, and reinforcing security structures. Investors are returning, and communities are experiencing renewed confidence.

The enemies of Rivers did their best to cast a shadow over the state. They tried to create the image of a roaring darkness where only the light of progress existed. But the Rivers story remains stronger than their propaganda.

Governor Fubara has made it clear: Rivers State cannot and will not be defined by those who profit from chaos. It will be defined by its people, its peace, its potential, and its promise.

The invisible horns have fallen off.
The truth has prevailed.
And Rivers State moves forward—undaunted, unbroken, unstoppable.

what made him a coward. How some of you talk shows the type of poor family background you are brought up. Do you know what it takes to be a governor. I know no body fro the entire generation of you siblings has attempted that feet. When you don't honor and recognized those place in leadership, you cannot attained such feet all the days of your life. The earlier you change your life, the better for you.
