Why should they be ordered to go in without air force cover? Are they even serious about the fight against Fulani terrorists? Of what use is the Air Force if they cannot be used as advantage in operations? My sympathy to the galant patriots injured in service of others |

zeuss:Nigerian can't easily acquire those sorts of aircrafts. I don't know if foreign governments are now allowed to sell them to us. |

yarimo:Why are APC supporters always insensitive. Common sense should tell you there is a place and time for dry jokes. If this is how you people behave, no wonder your leaders don't seem to care about the common man. |

Why is the presidency thinking this bandits and terrorists use crude unsophisticated weapons. You want to rescue the girls yet your first choice vehicles were oldies pick up trucks. ![]() |

How dem no go ambush una wey be say all una thing na gra gra, no surveillance intelligence, drone for aerial view and no tactical information gathering, always moving like zomb, I tire for una ooo. Wen America come rescue their citizens, nobody no about it, just 8 US Army came for the rescue with enough intelligence gathering, they came succeeded and left, wen our military men going to start getting things right in this country |

Hmm, too ugly to hear these kinds of stories nowadays. Peoples father being wasted by Fulani bandits. This is why i often say,it is a waste of time joining army especially the rank and file ones in this country. I have seen the kind of machines guns those bandits are using, heavy machines guns and when u see our soldiers, they only go with Aka 47 or 49...I no dey understand why. All the Fulani bandits and their front lines always carry heavy machine guns, courtesy of the videos I have watched. U are going to rescue kidnapped children and here u are going without air power. No helicopter to lead u ahead. Just like going to war without gun. |

When you keep integrating so called repentant Boko Haram members into the military, what exactly do you expect? The security system becomes compromised from within. You can’t bring people who once operated as insurgents into sensitive positions within the military and not expect leaks. It’s only natural that some will still have loyalties outside the uniform and feed intelligence to their old networks. Our military is struggling partly because there are insiders working against the system. Once you have spies embedded in the ranks, the entire structure becomes vulnerable. This is the reality we’re facing. |

Medicine after death. You had your chance to prevent this, but choose to play defense instead of attacking. Good riddance to bad rubbish. |

Tinubu should do the right things. Give us state police and resources control to the state and local governments maybe 50% and 20% respectively. These will go a long way in curbing insecurity in Nigeria. Insecurity in kogi kwara, Benue and plateau state is imported from katsina, zamfara kebbi and sokoto state. Everyone knows that insecurity in Northerner Nigeria is fueled by Islamic indoctrination, politicians from the North, emirs, traditional leaders even some of the locals. |

Am just surprised that the Nigerian military has learnt nothing from the Russian Ukraine war. Many armies around the world are studying the fight and making modifications in their army but is like Nigerian army is not interested in it. Armies are now have drone battalion from where drone operators are attached to attacking units to guide them and provide cover for them. Why is Nigeria still fighting the 1960’s way? |

Ohhhh, what is all this now, our President? Why is it so difficult for Mr. President Tinubu to swallow his pride and allow the US military to assist? Whyyyyy 😩. Innocent lives are at stake, action should come before pride. |

food4tot:What about drones? It's very effective for surveillance. Some drones are even armed with heavy machine guns. It's not fair that our soldiers are dying anyhow. |

Jeez! Terrorists now know the coordinates of army movements. The intelligence gathering in the army has long been compromised by BH members being recycled as repentant rehabilitated and deradicalised terrorists |
