The air force is as good as dead, they're underfunded, lack basic military equipment, not to mention sophisticated ones, they are paid very poorly and there's no benefits should they be injured or die in battle, same as other security agencies.
It is common sense to have a team in the air do surveillance before and active support during a mission, all these 1800's gallantry walking into the dens of these people, places the terrorists know best, is in itself su!c!de, the government isn't ready, we have had cases of military chiefs looting the money meant for arms, even terrorists know not to use the money for Arms for anything else, yes there's the part of infiltration, but there are also the parts of gross unseriousness by the government, and that of a total lack of integrity and patriotism all the way from the president to the local government councillor.
Sadly, i do not see this coming to an end soon, the soldiers are getting deleted, numbers depleted, I do not think any parent will let even a stranger to enlist now, gradually, the angels of death are winning.

Talking about a rescue mission is one thing, but successfully executing it is a completely different ball game, especially against a enemy on their own turf.

Charging in blindly without superior intelligence and air cover is not a rescue operation it's a tragic gamble. The terrorists know the terrain intimately and are always one step ahead, making them experts at setting up these ambushes. Our soldiers are put in a reactive, defensive position from the start, which is the most delicate and dangerous situation for any fighting force.
