What is happening in our dear country today is an eye opener to every sane person that In 2027 presidential election, a vote for a tinubu Muslim Muslim ticket is a vote for Christian genocides.

The recent surge in insecurity in Nigeria especially in the northern part is really alarming. One thing I noticed is that these happenings are for political gains.
We lived in a depraved generation where killings are now celebrated as the ways to usher in a new political party without addressing the fundamental problems.

A key point often overlooked in this discussion is the electoral demography of Nigeria. Tinubu, as a Southern Muslim, is already a religious minority in the South. Pairing him with a Northern Christian, who is also a minority in the North, would have created a double-minority ticket.
In practical political terms, such a ticket would struggle to secure broad support, especially because the core voting strength in presidential elections comes from the Muslim-majority Northern states.
For better or worse, Nigerian electoral politics is still heavily shaped by regional and religious voting patterns. A Southern Muslim running with a Northern Christian would have been seen in the North as lacking representation, making a 2027 victory extremely unlikely.
This does not mean the concerns about balance and inclusion are invalid, they are important. But the choice of a Muslim running mate is largely a reflection of how Nigeria’s electoral mathematics currently works, not necessarily an ideological attempt to exclude any group.
