Only the most brilliant goes to the Royal Military Academy - Sandhurst UK. The Igbos really dominate that list. Take a look @ the list and make your inference

You could see how the list was balanced when the Fulani republic has not taken over.

There was truly a country. undecided

Sandhurst produced the most rugged and finest Nigerian commissioned officers before the advent of the Nigerian Military Training Centre which later metamorphosed to the NDA.

Nyesom Wike was very lucky he didn't confront a Sandhurst trained combatant.

His story would have been in past tense by now.

The British intention was to uplift the Eastern region above every others, and they really did a great job of it according to this list.

No wonder the igbo coup plotters had the courage to do what they did. They had the Nigerian military on lock down.
Re: Nigerian Army Graduates Of Royal Military Academy - Sandhurst UK by RandomFellow: 2:16pm On Nov 20, 2025
No recent graduates? Nothing since '64

I get it now. Those that finished from there after NDA was established are not listed

Na lie, it was because they were in charge, they put their name everywhere there is opportunity.
Same way north did when they retained power

I used to think the Nigerian government have stopped taking the country's young military cadets to Sandhurst until 2nd Lieutenant Uchenna Owowoh graduated last year.

a very big lie.

Yoruba was not interested in military. If it was by brilliance, Yoruba would dominate.
Moreover, the igbo brought nepotism into Nigerian administration, the very reason they dominated the civil service and it was easy for them to slot in their tribesmen.

Most people may not like this statement: The action of the January 1966 boys destroyed this country for good. undecided

The first republic politicians should have been left alone by the military to continue with their so called corruption and face their military activities. Their intrusion into politics have destroyed this country. The first republic politicians, despite the corruption, were making progress as the regions were developing at their own respective paces.

This seems very accurate to me and corresponding to when NDA was opened and Nigeria stopped sending cadets to Sandhurst

Brilliant people will not join military. Olusegun Obasanjo said he was pushed to join the military by his family elders because he was stealing goats and fowls on the village

No, Ojukwu was a graduate and joined as direct entry. Buhari, Obasanjo and Babangida went to different Military academy for short service officers called Mons Offocer Cadet School

Sandhurst was for elite cadets and regularofficers,
, to get in there was tough. Those who couldn't make it there were sent to Mons
