My Take on Nnamdi Kanu’s Life Sentence

Yes, the court says it acted based on the charges, but the truth is that this goes far beyond legal arguments, it touches real emotions, long-standing history, and the genuine frustrations many people in the Southeast have lived with for years.

What makes this even more sensitive is the clear imbalance Nigerians keep noticing. We’ve seen convicted terrorists in other regions receive lighter sentences or be branded “repentant,” while cases linked to the Southeast seem to attract the strictest punishments. For a region that already feels marginalized, this only strengthens the belief that they’re not treated the same as others.

And this concern isn’t just limited to the Southeast, many Nigerians can see the inconsistency, and it’s part of why trust in the system keeps dropping.

Personally, I think this moment calls for calm and honest dialogue. A heavy sentence alone won’t address the deeper issues behind all of this. Nigeria needs fairness, unity, and sincere engagement, not decisions that risk widening an already existing divide.

No one is above the law. Kanu is lucky to have gotten life sentence. He should have been sentenced to death.

Nobody celebrate today pass me. That murderous thief got served. 7 years later, Ekperima will get his. They turned Igbo land into a death zone, the blood they spilled will continue to cry out against them. And as you dey support them, it will cry out against you too.

Kanu is gone. Ekpa is next. Our land no dey take evil

Mehn! Jubilation everywhere for regions that are already over-compromised, for regions recording a mass influx of terrorists daily.

As we speak, Lakurawa and Ansarudeen are having a field day in Kwara, Kogi-Kabba Axis, but the west thinks the Igbos, Kanu to be precise, are the cause of their problem.

They celebrate the sentence of Kanu like they've fallen the entire Boko Haram and ISWAP regiment.

To every race laughing at the Igbos today for trying to make them see the bigger picture (the dark future) of insecurity in Nigeria, will someday come back to apologize when it's too late.

It's simply how Nigeria is destined to disintegrate... The breakup of Nigeria will be the doing of the mockers.

The Igbo race has always sensed danger and progress, even when no one believes it's present. That is the reason they progress more than others, and their statements, like a prophecy.

Never forget, the mission is to sink a certain book in the middle of the ocean and possess territories believed to be their birthright.

They have made it evident by occupying the west in mass, but the Igbos are rather preyed on and asked out while the real destroyers are pampered. Misplaced priority coated with double standards.

The pattern is already emerging in the west, but unfortunately, blind are they that they can't see it. They just can't see it! Quite pathetic I must say.
The Igbos will be here when it happens but won't be a support string.

When the Igbo race says, 'I Go Before Others (IGBO),' it's not a brag but a fact that has proven itself constantly for more than a millennium.

Let the jubilation continue. He who laughs last laughs best. Shalom.

- If the law was working even Tinubu will be in Jail.

- If the law was working the list of the sponsors of Boko Haram would have been published long ago.

- If the law was working Nigerian government will not be negotiating with terrorists.

Admit it, Nigeria is a failed state and a disgraced country like Trump rightly pointed out.

Giddygiddy, congratulations on the conviction of your master.

Next is to proceed to the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court while he's locked in a northern prison.

Kanu's issue is beyond emotions.

He was given a soft landing by the Supreme Court, he should be grateful for that.

The earlier some people start accepting the reality, the better for them

Unity cannot be forced. Igbos and Yorubas are not supposed to be in the same country if that country must work. Kanu provided the most realistic possibility of achieving that. They don't know what you have done fulfilling the wish of Fulanis
