inciting?
Did he kill anybody?
Why not hold and kill who killed .
Can you present any evidence of him killing anyone?
Dont forget that the actual killers up north were negotiated with and freed..
With this shamble judgement delivered by a Yoruba man... Igbos and Yorubas will never be the same..just watch and see
Go and read the constitution- you don’t need to kill till you are sentenced. You can be punished for inciting violence. It’s the law.

Kanu talked too much. No tact no nothing. It was just emotion upon emotion. He once threatened to go to Abuja and bring buhari's head back to his people. Unfortunately, a whole lot of misguided people took him too serious and started disturbing the peace. Imaging him inserting himself to that Endsars crisis. Life imprisonment is tough. I feel for his young family.

The fairness of Nnamdi Kanu's judgment is questioned not because he is seen as blameless by all, but because the process appears politically motivated, illegal in its foundation, and applied with a clear double standard. The state's overwhelming focus on him, while seemingly turning a blind eye to the actions of other powerful individuals who have caused greater tangible harm to the Nigerian populace, creates a powerful and persistent perception of injustice and a two tiered legal system.
Bizarre logic, imagine a thief is caught and his defence is that why was too much focus on me and not other thieves?

Re: Judge Declares Nnamdi Kanu An International Terrorist by lilsmart(m): 3:30am On Nov 21, 2025
Your analogy is flawed and misses the entire point. The law must be equal for all what is good for the goose is good for the gander. The issue is not that others haven't been caught it is that powerful individuals, once charged, are never truly prosecuted, while the full, unforgiving weight of the law is unleashed on others. This is not justice it is a deliberate and hypocritical two tiered system designed to protect the powerful and crush the vocal.

Epiphany77:

Re: Judge Declares Nnamdi Kanu An International Terrorist by lilsmart(m): 3:33am On Nov 21, 2025
Your attempt to justify a two tiered legal system based on a person's boldness or arrogance is fundamentally flawed and dangerous. The law must be applied equally whether a crime is committed in hiding or in the open is irrelevant what matters is that justice is blind and consistent. Your argument conveniently ignores the powerful individuals and sponsors of violence who operate not in hiding but in plain sight, enjoying protection and impunity. If we only prosecute the "bold" and ignore the "hidden" who cause greater harm, we are not upholding justice but enforcing a selective tyranny that erodes the very foundation of the society you claim to defend.

Vision101:
The other actors though illegal were hiding while doing what they are doing. Kanu was so bold. Looked at president Buhari and insulted him to no end. Carried all manner of propaganda against him. If you were in the south east his broadcasts were like order from the president. The Biafran flag was everywhere. People's businesses and lives were disrupted. Schools were closed. Children couldn't take their exams. Many people up till now don't go to their villages because of ESN.

In all these he kept being arrogant and insulting everyone including courts and judges.

In his case actions didn't speak louder than his words, but the other way round.

His pen was mightier than the sword.

May our mouths not land us in trouble.

Even if they catch all the Boko Haram and Bandits today and they plead guilty and beg for leniency, they'll get lighter sentencing, in comparison to the person who claims to "know the law".

A pity.

It's not easy to support anything Igbo due to their criminal activities that destroyed Nigeria's reputation globally but how about Sheikh Gumi, why is he free to roam around spreading hate and terror?
Re: Judge Declares Nnamdi Kanu An International Terrorist by jaxxy(m): 4:35am On Nov 21, 2025
In a highly polictial case without a defence I can say the judge can declare all he wants but until a competent international court trys and convicts Kanu we are wasting our time.

What facts where presented before the court to arrive at its conclusions? Nnamdi Kanu didn't defend himself and stated his reasons which some where valid, they he asked for a hold of judgment so he can refile his case and the judge said no. Lol

I would expect a judge to be atleast fair. This was not a fair hearing if there was no defence and there was no attempt to consider the accused position because this case didn't begin today or begin with this judge.

Una go too collect, you know say your region is the smallest in the country. If you are deluding yourself that you can hit and hide like bandits do in the north. SE terrain is very easy to navigate.

Bandits in the North are not even hiding they are killing soldiers and civilians and having discussions with government carrying their Ak47's and government is begging then.

So who go collect wetin? It is the North that will still vindicate Kanu.

The South east should address kanus case legally and politically. Let the North do the unrest.

jmoore:

‎What Nigerian Law Says

‎1. Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022

‎This is the current law (it replaced the earlier 2011 Act).

‎Under this Act, a person who threatens to do an act preparatory to or in furtherance of an act of terrorism commits an offence.

‎The law also penalizes assisting, facilitating, organizing, or inciting terrorism.

‎2. Definition of an “Act of Terrorism”

‎Under the old Terrorism (Prevention) Act (2011), which is largely carried forward: an “act of terrorism” is defined as something done with malice aforethought that:

‎May seriously harm or damage Nigeria (or an international body), and

‎Is intended to:

‎Unduly compel a government to act or not act,

‎Seriously intimidate the public, or

‎Destabilize political, economic, or social structures.

‎And the act involves things like attacks on life, destruction of infrastructure, or other severe harm.

‎3. Punishment

‎Under the older Act, threatening or preparing a terrorist act, or facilitating terrorism, can lead to life imprisonment or a very large fine.

‎The 2022 Act has its own set of penalties (depending on the offence), but the principle remains: threats are criminalized when they constitute terrorism.

‎Interpretation & Key Points

‎Threats are explicitly covered: Nigerian law doesn’t only target actual “violent acts” — it also criminalizes threats of terrorism.

‎Intent matters: The threatened act must be “in furtherance of” terrorism. That means it's not just any threat — it should be related to coercion, intimidation, or destabilization with a political or ideological aim.

‎Severity of the threat: For something to legally count as terrorism, the underlying act (or the threatened act) generally has to be serious (e.g., risk of death, big damage, or major public disruption).

‎Reporting obligations: Under the law, if you have material information (i.e., knowledge) about potential terrorism acts, failing to report it to authorities is itself an offence.

Buhari, Elrufai, many Northed leaders have threatened more than Kanu and it was terrorism.

Case that Kanu dragged on for almost 10 years? He wanted the beat to continue so that he will continue to make money and enjoy the limelight.
Whether Kanu dragged the case or not, the point remains the same, justice in Nigeria must be consistent.
We can’t focus on one individual or one region while bandits, terrorists, and their sponsors continue killing people daily in the North without any real consequences.

Holding Kanu accountable should not stop the government from also holding the masterminds of northern violence accountable. A country only moves forward when every source of insecurity is treated with equal seriousness.

It's quite absurd how some people think that after all the atrocities his movement has caused — freedom his what he should merit in the end.
Why are they not talking about the lives lost in his reign of terror? Is it because they are not in any way affected?
Personally, I don't have anything against his call for segregation but what this call brought through his way of getting what he wants is something unforgivable.
