Breaking News: Nigeria to Deploy 400 Soldiers to Gambia for Peacekeeping

The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced plans to deploy 400 elite soldiers to Gambia to support peace and security operations in the conflict-affected country.

Since gaining independence, Nigeria has contributed significantly to global peacekeeping, sending over 100,000 troops to more than 40 countries worldwide. Reports highlight that Nigerian commanders have played a key role in maintaining peace both within and outside Africa, earning international recognition and honors.

The government has also advised troops to uphold discipline and protect Nigeria’s reputation while serving abroad.

We have enough security challenges back in Nigeria and some unscrupulous and ridiculous entities in the military, executive government and diplomatic missions of Nigeria 🇳🇬 want to send some Military to Gabon.

This is commendable. Nigeria has always been a leader in peacekeeping efforts in Africa. Our soldiers are among the best in the world, and I trust they will represent the country well in Gambia.
