Kanu was not fearless. His desperation to avoid judgment when it became clear he was facing jail time was apparent to any keen observer. He was just plain stupid and actually a wicked and dangerous fellow. He believed that being in the UK, he was immune to prosecution and could do anything against Nigeria and get away with it.
