casualobserver:His solution to everything is to just overhaul the entire system. People keep falling for the BS because he has a decently large YT channel and positions himself as an expert for high-end clients. |

If you feel a page is reporting false information to the public, report the page en masse. By the time they flag his/her page, he will have sense by fire by force. |

On several ocassions, have said it in here - that some of us are in it due to lack of gainFul employment. Think of it like during the days of GNLD, Tianshi, Tasly, FLP, etc - almost everyOne, including those not qualified enough to be a sales person turned learned doctor. issue be say, most times, those with the proper knowledge no too sabi packaging BUT those with little to no knowledge go package themselves so much you wey sabi go come be boyBoy to them |

HeavenlyBang:exactly! because he doesnt have the fundamental knowledge to diagnose. in the said video, some charge controllers would stop charging at a certain time of day even though the battery is not full. He never even bothered to check what parameters were set for the charge controllers. Instead he came up with some cock and bull story that high frequency inverters and low voltage charge controllers cant work together....can you believe that? A few people challenged him to explain why, he couldn't instead was spewing gibberish trying to confuse the uninformed with technical jargon as is the way of those trying to hide lack of knowledge. What does battery voltage (which is what determines the flow of current between devices) have to do with frequency of inverters or PV voltage of charge controllers? A battery does not know or care about the frequency or voltage of its charge source to the extent that the voltage in question simply refers to the voltages of the PV input of those devices. All a battery sees is voltage of the output of the Inverter or the CC. the output of a CC and the input of a battery only care about voltage and current will flow if there is a difference in voltage between them. If the source is outputing a higher voltage than the battery voltage it will charge...this is basic physics. I am not a professional, i am just an enthusiast. I was disgusted watching an educated man claiming this is his professional occupation spewing the kind of nonsense I expect from Jelili the roadside mechanic. The client gave him all the clues to suggest what the problem likely was. He said the CCs work EVERY DAY (negating his story that they cant work together), only they seemed to stop at a certain time of the day. Again, common sense would suggest okay at a certain time of the day the Bat voltage has risen to a certain level but battery is not fully charged, therefore lets check what charge voltage is configured in the CC maybe at that time the battery has sufficiently charged to the configured level in the CC. Afterall its not like the CCs dont work, they just seem to stop at a certain time of the day even though the battery isnt full which will suggest that when they see a certain voltage at the battery terminal they stop charging. So again common sense would suggest check the CC settings for the voltages set but Mr Cowboy without fundamental understanding of the basics never bothered to check the settings on the CC and instead ripped into the installer and wasted his clients money on new charge controllers. I had been putting up with his channel and his BS because initially there werent many Nigerian channels and most of the channels were foreign. That was when i stopped watching his channel. thankfully there are now many more Nigerian channels. |

casualobserver:Unfortunately there's just a lot of BS in the solar space. Mostly people completely ignorant to how basic electricity works, and so they just regurgitate the specifics they've learnt with little to do no critical thinking. |

The only thing detest is his arrogance. Apologies too hard am. @all use your sense follow person. Solar knowledge is very very basic--voltage voltage voltage... That is why a battery can charge another battery of lower voltage. I do charge my mini 3s1p lithium ion battery with another battery of higher voltage for few minutes. It is a wait and get charging to avoid stories. Na just sense... |

seunpinky:To start with, 2 batteries obviously mean lead acid which is a no no in this age and time. U can also post the quote if u really want our input as we aren't magicians and cant discuss what we don't know |

Wood is easier to use and I havnt experienced any safety issue with it. If you will be using metal case, take insulation very serious. Test verywell and ensure that your case is not conducting. Tdoctor: |

Seun:For now All in one units tops at about 5kva inverter and 10KWH batteries.. Sako has something like this Alpha ess, Btw, why do you want all in one, for mobility or compactness? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by jamesid29(m): 11:07pm On Nov 20, 2025 |
Hi everyone, Abeg does anyone know of any good battery monitor that has auto generator start feature. Or is it something that has to be coupled separately? |

@ seun 11kva 15kwh all in one

Seun:Oga seun, how you doing? Why you want to do all in one? When credible installers de here? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Trippledots(m): 7:21pm On Nov 21, 2025 |
Seun:You can check this if you insist on the AiO anyways. https://fouanistore.com/product/483?huawei-power-m-5kw-power-module-inverter-15kwh-battery Someone has a review of it on YouTube |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by lungwun(m): 7:37pm On Nov 21, 2025 |
Trippledots:Credible installers dey, but installation is always haphazard and ultimately ugly. Breakers and trunking everywhere. If we can install these things and keep wall mounted cables away from view this will be good. Unfortunately we cant. So for confirmed 5 years warranty from a reputable place (Not one place that one tiktokers will carry me to create content because i complained about after sales service) , that Huawei ESS from Fouani is top of my mind. |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 8:01pm On Nov 21, 2025 |
lungwun:A lot of times, na over installation dey make thing overtly complex hence the lots of cables + PVC pipes + the rest (probably make the client for know where the plenty money enter). Most times, I just pick a location, while carrying the client along so much it's almost like they the ones taking decisions BUT you go see some so called professional, na only their word matter; even when they pretend listening to you |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Trippledots(m): 8:08pm On Nov 21, 2025 |
jamesid29:Junctek has a battery monitor with a dry port relay switch. It can be used for gen start/stop. I think victron and their Chinese knock off have too. |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Trippledots(m): 8:13pm On Nov 21, 2025 |
lungwun:It's not the fault of installers. If you want sub surface installation where they will cut the wall, run cables plaster and repaint It can be done, but the average client doesn't care about that level of install aesthetics or isn't ready to pay for it. Some buildings come with dedicated cables for inverter installation and that helps with neatness of any installation done there. Btw, fouani installations use trunks or PVC pipes for even C&I level installations. I've worked with them. So buying an AiO sysyem from them doesn't mean you won't see trunking. |

Trippledots:Thanks a lot Chief. Yeah victron does, I believe. I was just looking for something alot cheaper & didn't have to import, cos the project is time bound. I'll see if I can get the Junctek in Nigeria. Or if you know anyone selling it, that would be appreciated also. Thanks a lot for your input boss |
