They will soon plot a fake prison attack through which they will want to annihilate him. But God will not allow them to succeed

I can now understand why kanu is not in touch with reality. The family he came from doesn't fare better, they are raising alarm that a convicted individual was relocated to a prison. They ate totally out of touch with reality. If they want him out, let them go to appeal. For now remains a convict serving prison term, a government pikin.
dense. I'm shocked.

I hope these people know what being convicted is? Because instantly you lose your fundamental human rights

Assessing your level of reasoning

sparko1:
Being a good person is subjective, there's no universally acceptable definition of a good person.

How does this have anything to do with the post.

This is a concerning development that raises several procedural and humanitarian questions. While the state has the authority to manage the detention of individuals in its custody, the sudden and long distance transfer of a high profile detainee like Nnamdi Kanu, especially without apparent prior notification to his legal team, is a move that understandably causes alarm.

From a legal perspective, such a transfer could be seen as an obstruction of his right to adequate legal defense. Consistently consulting with lawyers is a fundamental right for any detainee, and relocating him hundreds of kilometers away from his established legal team in Abuja significantly impedes this right.

Furthermore, the family's concerns for his safety are valid. Sokoto is far from his region of influence and support, which could be perceived as an attempt to isolate him.
The very essence of incarceration is isolation. That's why they lock you up.

The family should better go and see Kanu in Sokoto. No be by chochocho.

it's likely a chess game in a way,
His counsel team may want to go on appeal in any of the eastern appeal court.
Will it be feasible for him to be going from sokoto to the East on each court session.

It's evident we're are both not children, so using the word suddenly is unacceptable.

Up until yesterday he wasn't a convicted felon, he hasn't been incarceration all this time, so the move is warranted, he was in Dss custody for the duration of the trial, now the trial is over, and he is to be incarcerated.

During the delivery of judgement, the trial judge stated the reason for the move, his lawyers didn't object, if he hasn't fired them maybe they would have but they were powerless in the situation.

Besides it's an appeal he doesn't need to appear and if he does, the FG will definitely make provision for his appearance.
You dont have to explain anything to them let them beleive whatever they want to believe.
Reality get koboko for them..
Las las na noise dem go make and Everything goes back to normal

He's a convict so the issue of access to his legal team doesn't arise anymore. The judge ordered that he should be handed over to a correctional center that is safe. It's at the discretion of the security agencies to choose anyone. Before his conviction he had asked that he should be moved out of DSS facility to kuje prison. With kanu's unruly behaviour to everyone he shouldn't expect favour from anyone. He will change his dress and given prison dress and number. He's case is closed just like any other prisoner.

Look how happy all of them commenting on this topic are, but when it comes to Fulani terrorists abducting school children and sacking villages now, they will all disappear from the thread, you won't find them anywhere near that thread and topic.

You are correct that there is no specific law mandating a convict be held close to loved ones. However, the principle of access to a legal team is a cornerstone of a fair judicial process. While Sokoto is within Nigeria, the practical reality is that suddenly moving a detainee hundreds of kilometers away from their established legal counsel, without notice, can be seen as obstructing that access.

The Appeal Court has 6 zones of sitting and they decide on which appeal they will hear on a first come , first serve basis and they usually sit in the zone where the appellant is incarcerated.

Nah NW zone go hear his matter.

What is wrong with these people? Government convicted you and you want to determine how government will punish you again. Why do they think so much of themselves. Haven't to hey learned their lessons yet?

Better for him because Boko Haram and bandits always initiate prison break up north and he would become a beneficiary

This is very sad. It could cause lots of insecurities here in south east
so instead of burning down sokoto, it is south east you want to burn down. What is the sense in igbos destroying and killing igbos while the people that convicted him walk free. Ipob, let igbo land breath!
