We firmly condemn today’s renewed violence against the Christian communities in Nigeria. Religious freedom is an inviolable right: we call on the Nigerian government to strengthen protection for Christian communities and all religious communities and to prosecute those responsible for these brutal attacks. Italy expresses its full solidarity with the victims and the communities in Nigeria who today feel threatened because of their religious beliefs.

I agree with you to some extent. Maybe some clerics need to be sanctioned especially that Gumi. How can you call yourself clerics and still protect these bandits savages with your words; Bandits that are killing indiscriminately.

So the people they killed who will get justice for them. This whole thing doesn't make any sense. The court just sentenced Nnamdi kanu to Life imprisonment but some northern leaders are busy granting amnesty to bandits and terrorists.

I don't know whats wrong with these northerners. People that are killing you, you are still negotiating with them. Doesn't make any sense!

the terrorist attacks didnt reduced before U.S interest. The media only started pushing news of fresh attacks. If you spend time on Nairaland, you’ll agree that hardly a week passes without news about bandits, ISWAP, armed herdsmen, or Boko Haram way before the west started talking about Genocide/jihad. Go check the situation in Mali. It is a gradual process that may take years before you realize it is actually a religious war but by then, it will be too late.
