Personally, I believe you have to be the best player on the winning team to actually win prestigious awards. Hakimi was not even the second best player in PSG last season.

Salah had a better overall performance than Hakimi last season, but Salah had won multiple African Player of the Year awards before, and Moroccans were whyning about how they thought Hakimi was robbed when Ademola Lookman won it. Coupled with the fact that they are the next hosts of AFCON, the whole situation looked like a compensation to me.

If they had given it so Salah again, they will be crying again.

I would have picked Hakimi if no other player had a better individual performance.

But congrats to him.

If it's purely by goals scored then from what u are saying Osimehn should win it since he scored more goals than Salah and also won more trophies
