That's the whole point.

If students are kidnapped in your state the the blame is on the state government and you loose control of funding when the federal government sends in the military to your state to take charge. You as governor also loose your security vote to the military in your state.

You said he has wasted time and still think its not justified to put all the blame on him? Whats stopping him from creating state police?

The issue of state police is a contentious one. Some are in support while some are against it.

The best way is to have a referendum on it. Let the Nigerians decide if they want state police or not

At this juncture, this is perhaps the only way out.

The fear of those against it is that they will be used against political opponents and for oppression. However that problem can be removed if state police has a superior regulator. If they become tools used by any state government against regulation, they loose their security vote funding and regulators take over temporarily just like AMCON.

Best quote so far, tinubu should lobby the legislative arm and all governors to sanction state police ASAP and grant them license to import or manufacture weapons ,that's the only solution cos I don't see how te current Nigerian army can grow from 500k to 2m personnel in 6 months with adequate training to combat terrorists.

We all know that its the governors that are really in charge of the security situation in their states.

I totally agree with yourl. Even as a diehard fan of Tinubu, who understand his end plan and target, I feel there must always be a way to balance the need to play politics with the sacrosanct goal of optimal protection of the lives and property of Nigerians I believe is the foremost responsibility of every leader above everything else.

Yes State/regional policing may not be affordable to all, yet makein3g it constitutionally legal means States/region who can afford it will set it up and lead by example to show others they must adopt it also.

As things are, Tinubu is playing into the hands of the monsters he wishes to keep out of power with inaction that is losing him the support of Nigerians.

Is the federal police not used against opponents now?
