As a matter of urgency, the government need to make law that clearly state that no one can take over land belonging to other settlers by attacking and chasing away the original settlers,
And probably create a settlers maps that clearly show land belonging to every tribes and ethnics
In all my wisdom and claim to national level strategy, your suggestion completely floored me in its simplicity and depth.

It is a master stroke, as "No matter how long a tenant over-do, one day one day, court go still chase am comot".

How will PBAT move round and campaign for this second term that has engulfed him and his cronies to the detriment of good governance in this country?, what will he campaign with, what will he promise, how will compose the propaganda. Just thinking aloud oooo.

I think the surge in security challenges facing the country is largely connected to poverty and unemployment. The poor economic policies of the APC administration have crippled many businesses, especially in the north where the poverty rate was already high. As a result, many people can no longer afford to feed their families, which tempts them to join kidnapping rings and other criminal activities to make ends meet.

As it's, no matter what security measures the government takes, they will never fully resolve the problem. The administration must first address the fundamental economic challenges people are facing. If it does so, many of those who turned to crime out of economic desperation will naturally abandon it.
nothing like challenges,it is clear and cut that the nothern elites are the ones behind these atrocities, their stake in the military is complicit too.the joy is that they have not spread outside the northern region and that is what we should all avoid

Sir, our border is porous, and there is conflicts in many of the Sahel nations around , tough looking illegal immigrants , fighters who take advantage of weak border to come in , wreck havoc , chase away settlers in remote villages and take over their lands, giving them access to Nigeria citizenship and ruling power over those lands , again I don’t see why able body men will be living under bridges along mile 2 badagry experience way in Lagos, they are too many, no house, no registers and can be dangerous at night, the government neee to checkmate and monitor immigrants like this in every states
Thank You

Yesterday night, armed bandits attacked the home of a community volunteer in the Zalau community of Toro LGA, Bauchi State. During the incident, they killed the JIBWIS Zalau Discipline Officer, Alhaji Muhammad Bakoshi, and abducted his wife, who gave birth two weeks ago.

The incident has deepened growing fears across the country, as it
show how bandit groups once largely confined to the Northwest, are now expanding their violent operations into several states in the Northeast and North Central regions. This widening spread of insecurity continues to raise serious concern among citizens and security observers alike.

Then specify the state or location instead of saying "north" as if it's the entire north that's engulfed in violence.

There are also unknown gunmen in Imo state & Anambra state in southeastern Nigeria & also human ritualist killings in Ogun state & Oyo state in southwestern Nigeria; yet we don't make state statements alluding violence to the "south". We always specify the particular place not insinuate the entire south.

You are right that there is economic challenges. Infact, it is everywhere in the world. However, that is not a good reason for me to kidnap you and demand for ransom in millions. If it is true that it is economic challenge that makes them to go into kidnappings, then once they kidnap 1 or 2 persons, they should stop because the ransom will come in millions and should be enough to setup the kidnapper in a business of their choice. This people are pure criminals and because the government is not doing anything or enough to stop them, they continue the trade and cash out easy money in the process.

Kidnappers, bokoharam, bandits, Fulani herders are just criminals who have government backing, simple.

Please let's stop this unnecessary comparison and let's face the truth.

I was born and raised in the north, so I am in a better position to explain some certain issues in the north. The entire northern region is currently more dangerous, compared to other regions in Nigeria.

Guerrilla tactics requires guerilla response. Control and command of armed militia should be decentralized and women should also be taught the act of war

I sincerely do understand you. Unfortunately, the challenge of leadership is the manifold dimensions it presents.

When you have issue A, it is 1 issue and easy to solve. When you have issues A & B, instead of 2 issues, it becomes A, B, AB & BA, because the order of solutions now matter.

Now, imagine when you have 15 issues colliding with each other.

You talked of porous borders and illegal immigrants. But they are cousins and nephews to some people in Katsina. You want them to chase away their family?

And the people under the bridges solution? 1bedroom flat at N3m paid over 30yrs (N8k/month). But then, won't you prefer this scheme should go to the currently hardworking youths?

Leadership is tough, especially if you are saddled with an organization with many issues with low finances and un-sound humans.
