A blogger had reported on his Facebook page that Justice Omotosho survived an assassination attempt early Saturday morning, just days after handing down the life sentences to Nnamdi Kanu.

According to the report, Justice Omotosho was immediately rushed to a hospital as security forces scrambled to secure the area

The attention of the Federal High Court has been drawn to a publication by CELEBRITY BLOGGER, alleging that the Honourable Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court, Abuja, survived an assassination attempt following the life sentence imposed on Nnamdi Kanu.

We hereby firmly and unequivocally declare that the said report is completely false and unfounded.

The public is advised to treat this publication as fake news and refrain from further dissemination to prevent the spread of misinformation.

Given the gravity of the report, which has the potential to cause panic and undermine confidence in the judicial system, possibly intended as a form of intimidation, we call on the relevant security agencies and regulatory authorities to conduct a thorough investigation.

The goal is to identify and apprehend the perpetrators responsible for this false report and prosecute them in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, particularly those relating to cybercrime, defamation, and public misinformation.

Sunday Igboho is not a terrorist. He’s just a separatist agitator. He did not command his followers to kill policemen and soldiers. He did not command his followers to bury 400 heads with the dead body of anyone. He did not order his followed to burn down police stations. He did not set up an illegal security outfit to wage war against Nigeria. He did not set up an illegal broadcasting station to spew hate and order violence.


If Kanu had limited his agitation to just seeking for Biafra, nobody would have touched him. The violent nature of his agitation is what made him a terrorist.

But I still think more can be done on Nnamdi Kanu case

Kanu and his supporters should be grateful to that judge for his leniency and compassion. Ordinarily, terrorism attracts a life sentence and for him being a senior terrorist, a bad judge would have given him a double life sentences which means he will serve the other sentence in the next life.

Why would anyone want to assassinate him?

In the case, Kanu never denied any of the accusations. He was only asking for the laws under which he was being tried.

The judge gave him every opportunity to defend himself and present final written address. Kanu did not.

His two lawyers were protesting with Sowore for his release and doing media prostitution instead of filing a defense.

I suspect they wanted to kill the case on technicalities and encouraged Kanu to insult the judge so that they'd say he was biased. Maxwell Okpara said it that the judge wanted to prove he was the judge.

Finally, the talk that Kanu's conviction was conviction of Igbo nation is an attempt to change the narrative to an ethnic issue. No one inflicted more pain on the Igbo nation than Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB from his violent incitement from the last 8 years.
