I think we actually need to miss that world cup. Our boys + NFF are not ready. Let us use the next four years and watch other serious countries and players. Maybe we MIGHT learn a thing or two. Imagine playing world cup and hearing that 300 people has been kidnapped and killed in your country and you are still bothered about kicking a ball around UNFLINCHED. Yes make dem sack the whole of NFA, people must be made to pay for their crimes. Abeg I will be compensated IF we conquer African by winning AFCON. Better to win a AFCON🏆 & go down in history as 2026 winner, than to be in WC & get knocked off in group stages. You don't get any trophy for getting knocked off in WC. Also, a player who wins AFCON will have a trophy in his cabinet unlike a player that went to WC 10times & got knocked off 10times. 10 Likes |

Nigeria shouldn't be talking about world Cup when insecurity have taken the centre stage of our national life...though I was very upset about super Eagles missing out on the world Cup but then maybe God is trying to make us see the kind of party with bad luck that is in power ...APC as a party is a curse to Nigeria not a blessing...since they came ,insecurities, hardship poverty and deaths of citizens through violence is on the increase...no single gain on the masses 5 Likes |

All Nigerian teams in continental competitions na yam for goat dem be, other African teams use them to get free points. Our football is in such a sorry state that na our foreign borns for obodo oyibo dey help us now, no more home grown technological boys again yet when we became 5th in the world, many of the guys in that golden era team started from the national league. It is not their fault please, except if they will remove all SE and SS there in the team and put only Fulanis and Yorubas, that's when there will be the same results we are witnessing in NIGERIA now.... A house divided can never stand , and Super Eagles comprises all tribes so they can never stand, like nothing can make them gather together and qualify.... There is no competition, games or anything that requires all tribes in Nigeria to gather that will see prosperity or progress... except if it is field games that require one Nigeria to participate and not the gathering of Nigerians .. There has been a systemic decline of football in Nigeria. Unfortunately, our administrators didn't see it coming. Imagine: We didn't qualify for two senior World Cups in succession We didn't qualify for CHAN AFCON We didn't qualify for U-17 WC Our U-23 didn't qualify for the last Olympics Our U-20 performed abysmally at the WC.
