1. Look for a pharmacy where they sell any of the Quine drugs - as in Chloroquine.

2. They should have bitter leaf over there. Get it and start chewing immediately. In 4 days, you will be ok.

Tell your family to have it shipped to you. It will get to you within 3 days max. Use DHL shaa, add antibiotics to it. They can send enough in case of next time. While you wait, buy analgesic like paracetamol to suppress the pain. Some unpopular pharmacy stores do sell but it will be expensive . Wallgreens and CVS may not sell.

Is Panadol popular in the U/S? I thought it's mostly Tylenol

This actually happened to me 3 years ago. I went to the hospital because I wasn’t feeling well, but the whole experience was strange. They kept asking a bunch of odd questions over and over for almost 20 minutes. In the end, they billed me nearly $400 just for that.

Frustrated, I called a friend, and he recommended a liquid medication called something like ProQuil, there’s a day-time and night-time version, and you can find it at Walmart. By God’s grace, within three days of using it, all my symptoms disappeared.

If you still need malaria medication, another option is to stop by the nearest international airport. Sometimes you can find newly arrived Nigerians, and they might be able to help you get proper malaria drugs.

You had flu not Malaria, proquil will never cure Malaria.

Buy (dry) hibiscus flower, put 1cup(tin milk size) of d flower into a glass cup of water, cover and soak for 4hours, remove the flower soaked and drop 3cube of sugar into d soaked solution, cut 3 lime oranges and squeeze into the mixture of d soak hibiscus and cube sugar . Drink and thank me later. It works for both malaria and typhoid fever.

Less than #200k is enough to arrest this situation compared to spending thousands of dollars treating maleria in America. Plus the needles attention you will bring to yourself.

Once you treat this one, you won't have malaria again in the US. The mistake you made was not coming with anti malaria while coming. Go to the hospital, malaria will be treated as health emergency and you will be admitted in isolation 🫥

Look for fresh guava leaf boil with lemon. Take one cup twice daily for 7 days and if symptoms persist contact ur physician oo. My advice , I had this same issue and seeing doctor alone without and medical issues u must pay consultation fee.

Lots people in diaspora support Tinubu mostly because they know what it takes to have a real economy not the Abracadabra type of economy that previous govts were running.

LoL, it reminds me of when I slipped off and fell down at a High rise building in Toronto, it was a small fall in a in open space though, na so Dem begin run up and down to call 911 , l declined it ooooooooo, l told them that it was not serious but they were saying l should seek Medical attention, l still refused ooooooooo, l took the day off, went home, took Tylenol and I was ok ooooooooo, hahaha, I was not ready for all the medical jamboree and unnecessary questions and come over and over for Doctors appointment tongue

@OP, ask someone to buy and send you the drugs. Do it ASAP.

Next time, when you are leaving Nigeria, take Malaria and Typhoid treatment, then buy the drugs and keep in your luggage with you when travelling.

Most hospitals in the U.S don't even have experiential knowledge in treating malaria. My uncle's wife had to send a Yoruba friend to buy some medication for them when returning from Nigeria. It took almost 3 days before the medication arrived. She almost went mad because of the condition of her kids. That was in 2016. So anytime they are in Nigeria, they always buy some before travelling back to the U.S.
