“Let me be clear: I will not relent. Every Nigerian, in every state, has the right to safety and under my watch, we will secure this nation and protect our people.”

- President Tinubu

My fellow Nigerians,

You will recall that I cancelled my trip to the G20 summit in South Africa to enable me coordinate the security efforts at home.

Thanks to the efforts of our security forces over the last few days, all the 38 worshippers abducted in Eruku, Kwara State have been rescued.

I am equally happy that 51 out of the missing students of the Catholic School in Niger State, have been recovered.

I am closely monitoring the security situation nationwide and receiving continuous updates from the frontline.

Let me be clear: I will not relent. Every Nigerian, in every state, has the right to safety — and under my watch, we will secure this nation and protect our people.

~ Bola Ahmed Tinubu
President & Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces
Federal Republic of Nigeria

Re: 38 Kidnapped Eruku Church Worshippers Regain Freedom - Kwara Governor AbdulRazaq by Mufasabulaba: 5:58pm On Nov 23, 2025
Oga abeg make we talk true for once.
How we reach point where "rescued victims" don turn to national achievement? Something wey no suppose even happen in the first place?

Everyday na the same script:
“We are monitoring… we will not relent… security forces have rescued…”
But how many times ordinary citizens go continue to dey enter bandits’ hands before government “monitors” finish?

Kwara State wey used to be peaceful don turn to headline for kidnappings. Niger State students missing in numbers as if we are counting bags of rice. And the best we hear is “I cancelled my trip.” Oga, nobody cares about trip cancellation — fix the damn country.
The anger Nigerians dey carry for mind no be because you rescued victims; it's because you allow insecurity fester until abduction become normal news like weather report. People no fit go church, no fit send pikin school, no fit travel, no fit sleep with two eyes closed. Wetin remain again?

We are tired of press statements and promises.
We need results — lasting, consistent, nationwide security.

This “we will secure the nation” line don tire everybody. If truly una no go relent, then let it show in the fact that we stop seeing these kidnappings altogether. Until then, all these statements na grammar to calm people down, nothing more.

Nigeria deserve better than this cycle of abduction → panic → rescue → thanksgiving → repeat. Enough is enough.

This is a welcome development. The president and his team must not rest until all the remaining Niger State student and all the Kebbi students are rescued and returned to their homes.

The terrorists behind the kidnappings, killings and insecurity must not know peace. They must be smoked out and sent to hell. We must never allow the terrorists to win this war. Nigeria must win.

Did they arrest any of their abductors? How many of the bandits were killed?

.. if none was neither arrested nor killed, then something is probably fishy right there
