My neighbor's younger brother and wife just lost 3.5 million naira to a round of failed IVF.
They are devastated.

They've been trying to conceive naturally 7 years now until a family friend out of good intentions directed them to a IVF specialist with a good track record.

After several investigations, physical examinations, scans, injections, pills, supplements. The resulting embryos did not do well in-utero.

And that was 3.5 million naira gone with the ocean breeze....

No free repeat cycle,no refund.
Quite an unpleasant development.

That's very sad to hear. As much as IVF success rates have improved over the years, there are times results don't go as expected. Some IVF clinics do give discounts to returning couples especially after failed IVF.

Yes some clinics do offer discounts on repeats but with the rising cost of drugs and materials, those kind of offers are now diminishing.

Then they should try adoption,there is still hope.

It's not the fault of the clinic na. They already did their own. It's quite sad one but then, it's the sad reality

Infertility is a big problem. Person wey never travel the route go think say others are joking. Say e come easily for you no mean say others no dey try.

Let them keep trying.

With Adoption of 2 or 3 kids, they wouldn't have spent such huge amounts.

That's what usually happens once it fails ..money is GONE. The clinic did their job...

I have tbe solution if the problem is from the man. But if its from the woman e go hard

As long as the service was rendered, money has gone

It's a sad situation to be in. If they have enough money, they should repeat the cycle but if no money, they should keep trying naturally.

There are no guarantees in this sort of treatment therefore you have no basis to use the clinic

One just told me this afternoon the surrogate mother complained of malaria fever. The transfer was done on Saturday. Told her to inform the doctors immediately. I pray it's successful. She paid 2.3..plus will give the surrogate mum 1.5m plus some little monies here n there. Can't wait to celebrate with her.

If she has viable eggs they should repeat the cycle
Approach the clinic for a huge discount because some of the tests do not need to be repeated again

If possible make sure they extract several viable eggs from her and his slerm is motile and healthy
