PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

Temporary Closure of All Schools in Bauchi State Due to Security Concerns

The Bauchi State Government wishes to notify the general public that all primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions—including Federal Government-owned schools and private schools—are hereby closed with immediate effect.

This decision, though difficult, was taken by the Government of Bauchi State after extensive consultations and in response to overwhelming security concerns affecting the safety of students, teachers, and school communities across the state.

The government is fully aware of the inconvenience this may cause. However, the protection of our children remains our highest moral responsibility. Every student in Bauchi State deserves to learn in an environment that is safe, stable, and free of fear.

We therefore call on parents, guardians, school proprietors, and all concerned stakeholders not to panic, but to remain calm and cooperative. The government is working closely with security agencies to address the concerns swiftly and comprehensively, ensuring that normal academic activities resume as soon as it is safe to do so.

We also urge citizens to remain vigilant. If you see something, say something. Timely information from the public is crucial in safeguarding our communities.

The Bauchi State Government will continue to provide updates as the situation evolves.

Signed:
Jalaludeen Usman,Anipr
Information and Public Relations Officer

Tinubu should resign since he cannot take on the terrorist herdsmen spreading insecurity before the country shuts down

Time for Tinubu to resign.
Baba Tinubu should go home and get his much needed rest.
It's obvious now that he's inadequate mentally and physically to hold the office of the commander in chief.

This picture here of Tinubu sleeping in a crucial security meeting clearly shows why Nigeria will never win the war against insecurity

Good move by the Bauchi governor to protect these vulnerable pupil. SAFETY FIRST

But somehow I see this as a jab towards FG denying Schools Closure. FG shouldn't be playing politics with lives.

Good protection move by the Bauchi Governor

It’s worrying that insecurity is forcing schools to close at all levels. While safety has to come first, prolonged closures can seriously affect students’ learning and future opportunities. The government really needs to address the root causes urgently, not just the symptoms.

Not just the symptoms.

The Governor does not command the military or police. All security agencies are directly under the control of Tinubu. He is solely responsible for insecurity....

Honestly it is very shameful for a nation with active military from army to air force, para military to be closing schools because of bandits. It only means our security agencies has been defeated in the face of international community.

Yes, he's the state CSO, but doesn't have absolute control & authority over the security agencies who all take orders from their bosses at the Federal level.

It's quite frustrating because closing schools is more of a short-term, reactive measure than a solution. It shows that the government is trying to protect students immediately, but it doesn’t address the deeper issues — lack of intelligence, poor community engagement, inadequate resources, and corruption within the security system.

Shutting schools repeatedly might give the impression that the state is powerless, but it’s really a sign of shortsightedness. Without tackling the root causes, these closures will keep happening, and the cycle of insecurity and disruption will continue.

North is ready to destroy their future, just to come back to power.

Still doesn't know, why sudden collapse of security situation in the country, as if, it's not the same Nigeria we are in from 2023 that Tinubu clinched power until recent.
