Incomplete reporting,
Please tell us why they decided to bury her in such a coffin.
Was it the woman's wish? Or was she taking so much Coke while alive like myself. Or was it too much Coke that caused her sickness and eventual death?
Please do well to give a full report of the story, thanks

They tried with the design but they should have sought for some assistance from the Ghanaians who are masters of this craft.
Very soon, this may become source/cause of another rivalry between Nigeria and Ghana (though this has been happening in Ghana for about 30 years or more now) grin grin

From my own limited understanding...they won't be bothered, and may even see this as free marketing.(Otherwise children wearing coke botte costumes for example would be sued for nothing...or someone making a coca cola wallpaper for computers)

Coca cola only has issues if someone makes a brand of cola drink and markets it as original cocacola....ie if it is being used in a commercial way, not a personal, one off , thing

As summarized via Google AI
While Coca-Cola is known for rigorously protecting its trademarks, there are no reports of the company taking legal action against individuals or families for using its logo or a bottle shape to decorate a coffin for a funeral.

The use of brand-themed coffins, including those shaped like Coca-Cola bottles, is a cultural phenomenon in places like Ghana and Nigeria, where families use the designs as a personal and symbolic tribute to the deceased person's life and interests. These are typically one-off, personal uses rather than commercial endeavors aimed at profiting from the logo, which likely influences the company's approach.

Companies like Coca-Cola must enforce their trademarks against commercial infringement to prevent the brand name from becoming generic and losing legal protection. However, applying this policy to individual, non-commercial funeral rites would likely be seen as culturally insensitive and generate significant negative public relations.

In fact, one Ghanaian coffin maker's work, which included branded coffins, was even featured in a TV commercial for a Coca-Cola-owned sports drink, suggesting an acknowledgment, if not endorsement, of the cultural practice.
