I recently had an insightful conversation with a Hausa friend. He stated plainly that many Hausa voters will no longer support anything closely associated with Fulani political interests. According to him, the Hausa people are becoming increasingly aware of their political agency, and one of their emerging goals is to replace Fulani emirs with Hausa leaders. He said this was a key factor in Bello Matawalle’s loss to a Hausa PDP candidate. He also cited two additional verifiable examples, one of which, if I recall correctly, occurred in either Jigawa or Kebbi. Ambitious as this shift may appear, every long journey begins with a single step. Interestingly, this same individual and his group were once strong Tinubu supporters who opposed everything I advocated in 2023, including my efforts to highlight Fulani jihad genocide and ongoing attacks on the Hausa, on northerners generally, and on Nigeria as a whole. He explained that their new stance emerged after carefully reviewing my earlier commentaries and reflecting on current events in the country. I must say that I am both surprised and humbled. These Hausa groups are now organizing and spreading their message. The political landscape in the North is evolving quickly, even though it may take a few more election cycles before the full impact becomes evident. In my view, if Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is truly serious about his candidacy this time, he must bring the South East and South-South firmly into his coalition while consolidating support in the core PDP states of Oyo and Osun in the South West. By this, I mean he must reach an understanding with H.E. Mr. Peter Obi, whatever the specific terms may be. Northern votes alone will not be sufficient. He must secure the Christian North and retain his strongholds in the North East and North West. To that end, especially in the NW, he will undoubtedly need the northern fixer, mallam Nasir El-Rufai and find a way to slightly dilute the Musa Kwankwaso effect in Kano and Jigawa. Anything short of these steps will render his candidacy yet another futile effort. Still, a new Nigeria remains POssible.

Atiku has gone to ADC to join his fellow travelers. No serious person is even thinking of Atiku and the election right now. |

The Hausa people have been deceived for too long. This time around, they are not going to allow themselves to be deceived again |

ottersberger:So if I get you right, Hausa population is now hostile to Fulani leadership due to the violent onslaught they are facing in the hands of Fulani bandits backed by Fulani leaders which manifested under the reign of Buhari. So in your own desperation to produce an Ibo vice candidate and to oust a Yoruba as President out of sheer ethnic jealousy and envy, you are willing to support another Fulani candidate despite it being the turn of the south. And you are telling us you will vote for an Atiku who will definitely protect Fulani interests at the expense of Hausa continued slaughter by Fulanis. I believe you are trying to replicate another Shehu Shagari/Alex Ekweme ticket that ended up granting. ojukwu a pardon and allowed him back to the country with an Atiku/Obi presidency doing same for Kanu. Wonderful |

Ttalk:Wonderful. Here today, there tomorrow. If you think Atiku will free your kanu just recall how he ordered his SM handler to delete the tweet he made condemning Deborah's lynching by a fanatical Muslim mob. You guys will never learn. |

Christian vote in the North? That deleted post about Deborah will hunt him forever, especially amongst the Christians in the North. In the South East, he may be seen as an usurper, except he surrenders the ticket to Obi or brings him on board. South South may be indifferent. South West? It's hard to bank on Makinde and Adeleke, but he's still have a decent show as PDP still enjoys some level of support there |

A new Nigeria is not just possible; it is inevitable. |

DomPerignon:I am not responsible for your education or what you chose to understand. Do whatever you like with my submission, but it won't change reality. Tinubu has failed Nigeria and Nigerians, and he will be replaced in the next election. |

LibertyRep:Anything, even Bello Turji, is better than Tinubu, as far as the rest of the country (other than the so-called south west) is concerned. You really have no idea. We don't care. We have had enough of this mgbati mgbayen awalokan madness. |

Atiku should just retire from politics and enjoy his life. The ADC is a perfect place for him, and I hope he can win a few local government elections there. |

DomPerignon:While I don't know who will replace him, because like you, I'm only human, are you confirming that Tinubu must have been very desperate to cry out, 'Emi'lokan'. |

ottersberger:The guy unravelled your weird mindset as an Igbo who would settle for anything but Yoruba, then you became confused about your own opinion. What a sad situation the Igbos have found themselves in the Nigeria political space. |

The massage is very clear save Kanu life from SW president and his people. Was it Atiku that killed Deborah. Many thousand of Deborah has dead because of failed SW president government |
