Greetings everyone...

I have built a 50ah 3s battery pack with 100A strong bms and 1kva inverter. Do I really need a charge controller? I will be add 200w solar panel
A charge Controller and a BMS each have different roles so YES you NEED A CHARGE CONTROLLER (or at least a Hybrid inverter) or a Charger. The chargeController is basically a charger and nothing more.

The BMS is basically a protector and manager of the Lithium cells you built.

Good day all, is there an original 18650 cell of 6000MAH and above? Pls take note of the word original

None. Anything above 3500 to 3800mah from brand-names is fake.

I'm
officialfestus:
Test results of my newly built 3s pack, consisting of 351 cells, majority of them were extracted from dead laptop battery while about 130 of the cells are good cells I got from tetralogyfallot.

End result of the discharge test is 2.5kwh.
How did you acertain that the total number of cells in each pack you built sum up to the same amperage with other and every of the pack before putting them together in series? Hope you get the point I am trying to make?

Which strings is ideal for a lithium ion 48v pack?
13 or 14 strings.

4.2v x 13 is 54.6v max, while 4.2v x 14 is 58.8v. 14s is your best string

Jejely stay with 13s. It is max max.
14s is over max but If the max of the inverter is 60v then no wahala.

Reason One should understand these numbers. Issue be say - a lot of us prefer the final response, rather than understanding how the result came about

Guys is this reasonable to buy for the price?
Or can something better be gotten within the price range of 590k?

You can get a better setup if you are not after portability
2.5kwh 24v battery for around 450k
3000w 24v satchet inverter for around 100k
20a 24v battery charger for around 50k

If you are handy and can build a battery pack yourself you can get x2 of that energy with that amount.
Will be testing some cells I got from someone in this forum soon. Will drop recommendations after the test.

I'm actually not after portability. Will this last better? In terms of load. I'm not using AC with the one from jumia but any chance that I throw in like an extra 150k I can get something to carry my AC? Also, I'm not handy ooo

This sounds good actually. I'm not handy so I would require professional assistance. Although it would be nice to have. The last time I asked here, I was told I could get some batteries as well.

Yeah, you can get
2.5kwh 24v battery for about 450k
4.2kw 24v hybrid inverter for about 350k
Protective devices for about 50k
You can add more capacity batteries and solar panels as you have the funds

you can power your ac but only for a short while, if you want a longer time then you should upgrade your battery to around 8kwh backed up by solar panels

most 48v inverter accepts an input voltage of 42v to 58vdc.
My concern now is that, if I use a 13 strings configuration for my battery (lithium ion), my battery won't be fully discharged before the inverter cuts off the input supply.

Small Build Update for My New 4S LiFePO₄ Setup

I originally planned to buy 4 pieces of used 12V 75Ah batteries for this build, but after thinking about longevity and reliability, I decided to switch to brand-new LiFePO₄ cells instead. I got a set of 4× 3.2V 314Ah prismatic cells from Valto, and honestly this was the best decision for the project.

Before trusting the ratings, I bought a shunt meter to run a full capacity test. The result surprised me — instead of the expected 314Ah, the pack delivered a solid 333Ah!. Total energy measured came out to be 4.26kWh, which is even above the standard 4kWh estimate for this configuration. The cells arrived well-matched and balanced, and the packaging and condition were all clean and professional.

Attached is a screenshot from my meter showing the test result.
The cells behaved exactly like genuine, high-quality LiFePO₄ should.

I’m still working on the rest of the build - BMS wiring, enclosure (still waiting for my JK BMS). I used a simple unbranded 4s 100A BMS for the capacity test and discharged with 8 pieces of 12v 55W halogen car headlights connected in parallel

I’ll drop more updates as the installation continues.
