Political persecution. Nothing else.. They make it look like they are looking for more men to help with the fight against terrorism, but this is a clever move to strip all political enemies of their security and lay them bare for any untoward possibilities.. Nigeria needs more men in the army and the police. Tinubu talked of recruiting millions and feeding them with a-g-b-a-d-o before he became the president.. What is stopping him from doing so? There are many able young men from these areas that have been visited by terrorists. Employ them. The revenue income of the government has quadrupled. So what is stopping them from mass recruiting?? The whole country is going through a jumpy security situation as we speak. While having VIPs driving around with Police Escorts do not look so nice on the integrity of the police, we all know that very important captains of industries, business heads and political heavyweights will be at the mercy of different insurgents if their security is removed. We also know that the people supporting the government will still have their security irrespective of this order.. |

That's how it should be, good number of our Police Officers should not be with VIPs while we don't even have enough man power yet. |

It will not be effective, Tinubu will rather allow Nigerians to die than offend politicians. I will see how they will categorise Wasiu, Oluomo, Sego. ![]() |

Police signal now in public domain. Oodua Peoples Congress (O.P.C) will take over protection of VIPs in Yorubaland and work with NSDC to ensure that we protect our human and strategic assets from criminal elements. It took awhile to give teeth to this policy but it's better late than never. |

Hoping NSCDC will leave up to the onerous task being thrust at them. At least, there will be more boots on ground to tackle the menace of banditry and terrorism. Good call from the president. |

I can’t remember how many times such directives had been issued in the past? Will the police listen? I will see if they will continue to push cart inside the mall for big men wife or hold big men girlfriend bag at the party, |

| Re: Implementation Of Presidential Order By Police by MadPolitician: 8:27am On Nov 25, 2025 |
LibertyRep:Private security with Ak 47 or the ones with "Six packs"? There are limitations in terms of training and armaments for private security outfits in this country.. And if you take a closer look at the arms and ammunitions these insurgents carry, especially those from the North, you would know that anything less than a well trained officer as you security is a joke |

| Re: Implementation Of Presidential Order By Police by Nwaikpe: 8:28am On Nov 25, 2025 |
There is a reason why they are called "VIP" by Nigerians. The reason is not that they are actually important or contribute anything important to the society, but simply because the law doesn't apply to them. So therefore, I assert that this law is only but a joke. |

God bless the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Imagine @madpolician labeling it persecution. That guy is a disappointment, how many police officers do we have in this country? What's our total population? The so called vips, are they more Nigerians than the rest of us? My former company's MD has a mopol that has been escorting her for 25 years. He has few years to retire and has only served one person through out his career by being her driver and saying yes ma for 25 years years. Whenever madam travel out, he will just be sleeping at his provided apartment. Yet, he's being promoted with improved welfare packages for doing nothing. He get paid by the company every month end and still get paid by the government. Imagine government paying for and training Police only to turn to driver to the vip. |
