Yeah, better at the end how things resolved but I felt it made me more pissed that MoM. Especially how painfully stupid that middle aged shopkeeper was. Talkatives or amebo people are really a cancer to society. 👿👿

I think the message the director was passing across was how karma or laws of life and nature at times doesn't always apply to bad people.
Some people just escape with doing bad things.
Also some people don't behave as they appear. And life ain't always fair. Also looks into the hypocrisy of society. The mentally unstable guy was easily branded the culprit, while the police amidst serious corruption was more than happy to put him behind bars and call it a day just because of his looks. The cool "normal" looking guy was mostly given a pass until some scenarios puts him in compromising positions. Don't judge a book by it's cover.

It's like the Nigerian maxim: na person wey ugly dem dey quick blame when something go missing or lost. Na poor man pikin dem dey use act w!tch for children's school plays.

And it also highlights the duality of human rights laws: while it's good to give benefits of the doubt "you ain't guilty until proven guilty in court of law" (although the down syndrome dude wasn't given this privilege), it also protects criminals/predators and does no favours for victims — because empirical evidence.

I believe the actual killer was that boy but the problem was that there's no hard evidence linking him up with the killings.

I feel the descriptions of the victim and that little girl matches the boy...... But no evidence.

What's your beef/issue with DiCaprio btw? Are you saying he is a bad actor? 🤔 Because he's like one of the most accomplished actors of his generation, and i am immediately seeing anything he is in, which is not nearly enough these days.

Even the Police Chief's decision of listening to that yeye prosecutor and releasing the guy was also a foolish thing to do, na why him tear race when the protagonist come find am at the end of the film.
The female police that was tailing him was also foolish to not follow him into that store despite the amount of time he spent there.
The store keeper paid for her own foolishness with her life.

Was a really enjoyable movie, e done tey wey Koreans dey drop masterpieces.

I see but quite frankly I didn't like that movie at all. Atleast it shouldn't have been that much of a slow burn, It felt like torture with no pay off 😔

I do not have beef with DiCaprio.

DiCaprio, just like Vin Diesel, Nick Cage and Liam Neeson used to be among my most favorites, but overtime, they started losing it. I do not know whether it was as a result of their success or wealth.

In fact, Catch Me If You Can, The Aviator, Blood Diamond, Body of Lies, Inception, Django Unchained, The Wolf of Wall Street, The Revenant and Don’t Look Up are my best DiCaprio’s Movies of all time that I can never get tired of watching.

But when I watched Revolutionary Road and Killers of the Flower Moon, I vowed never to rush to download his movies again because the probability of letting me down would be very high, and his latest flick “One Battle After Another” has just proven me right.

Rebel Moon Part 2 was probably the straw that broke the camel's back fgss.. it might be finally time to admit it, that my goat is washed 😩😩. Super thankful for "Man of Steel", "300" and "Watchmen", but Big Unc ain't got it, no more 😮‍💨

Una wey watch Rebel Moon 2 really try oo. After the first one, me I couldn't muster the courage to download the next one talkless of watch it. Talmabout reimagined "Star Wars".

But all these ones wey we dey talk, him fans no dey see am. They're still delusional to the end. They're hoping and praying Netflix buys WB so they can revive the Snyderverse. 😂🤷🏽‍♂️😅

I remember asking a serious question back then that why is Netflix only the ones willing to work with him all these years. For a decade he couldn't release a movie in theaters??

But I weirdly really enjoyed his animation series with Netflix, Twilight of The Gods. It was really good and massive surprise to see something good come out of Zack for a decade.

That movie is a masterpiece for me. I really quite enjoyed it and I don't think I noticed if it was a slow burn for me cos I enjoyed the gradual process of things unfolding.

Arguably my best Bong Joon Ho film.

When I dey talk that time say Netflix just dey hope to capitalise and cash in on the supposed "large" fan base of Snyder. Not knowing say na mostly loudmouths and bots to make the voice louder na im dem be.

After seeing the numbers for ZSJL on HBOMAX that year, I knew that fan base were premium noisemakers. With all that hype, anticipation and campaign for 4yrs you mean to tell me the critically panned Wonder Woman 2 even beat it times two in viewership?

Netflix being the opportunists they are thought they saw a goldmine of alternative demand to anchor a franchise on..... Only to rudely realise that peeps was only there cause of DC. Not really Snyder as a brand.... But Snyder as a vision for what DC "should" be.

So I knew, it was going to come crashing down when the returns didn't show up for the investment made. And Netflix really cough up hundreds of millions of dollars give am. Wetin I sure die say no other studio or service go give am that kind deal cos they've realized he's washed presently and just riding on past praise.
But Netflix wan cash out.....the next stranger things franchise forgetting wetin you want dey inside your shokoto.
