The concept of "evil" has perplexed human thought for centuries, with philosophers, theologians, and scholars of various disciplines attempting to understand its origin. The question of where evil comes from—whether it is inherent in human nature, a result of societal influences, or a force external to humanity—has given rise to a broad spectrum of theories. In examining the origin of evil, it is essential to explore the views offered by religion, philosophy, and psychology. Together, these perspectives offer a complex and multifaceted understanding of the forces that contribute to the manifestation of evil in the world. |

The thread starter is not in Nigeria. Otherwise, he would have shown some understanding of the reality of the land. |

If Nigerian youths have a working brain, these set of politicians won't have any hope of coming close to Aso rock and Nigeria won't be this bad |

| Re: On The Origin of Evil by Nobody: 5:27pm On Nov 21, 2025 |
There is an English proverb that says; "A fool at 40 is a fool forever" Nigeria is in her seventies and still swimming in enormous folly. Where is the hope? Ordinary world cup, Nigeria will not be attending after 8 years! Look at the small small countries going to world cup. After working hard from the beginning. A so called giant in one continent is still relying on PERMUTATIONS to qualify for world. They were pressing calculator as usual. This has been the pattern for over 20 years. They usually go like this; "If Rwanda beats Cameroon 1-0 at home, then Nigeria should pray that there is too much Sun in Yaounde on the return leg so that it will end in a goalless draw due to too much heat. While at it, let us hope that South Africa will be disqualified entirely so that Nigeria can magically teleport to the top of the group". You see what a so called giant of Africa is doing? What type of giant is that? You see the country they want the Igbo Nation with great men and women worldwide to be trapped in forever? Why not just prepare hard and win all your matches on merit? ![]() |

brain54:What's wrong with peaceful separation? There are European countries that separated peacefully and are doing fine. Why do you people have an erection whenever you hear separation for a country that's clearly not working? |

| Re: On The Origin of Evil by gidgiddy: 6:32pm On Nov 21, 2025 |
I dont think there would have been an Nnamdi Kanu if Nigeria was working, but that does not necessarily mean that Igbos would not have wanted a seperate country of their own Britain is the 5th richest country on earth, but Scotland almost left Britain in a 2014 referendum However, its important to note that the chances of Nigeria working are very low, the country never grew to become a nation because of ethnic, religious and ideological differences That's why the country started to unravel almost as soon as the British left in 1960, and has kept unravelling ever since. |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by Nwaiyoo: 6:35pm On Nov 21, 2025 |
SeraphicWind:They think Igbos are joking with success, if Hausa and Yoruba don't want to succeed, Igbos want to succeed through merit. Not in a country where their highest achievement is becoming a president, by hook or crook. Then, when they assume the presidential seat, their performances will be nothing to write about. Just imagine, even Abacha's regime was better than that of Buhari and Tinibu. The condition of Nigeria as a contraption is very pitiable. Infact it's the worst in Africa, if not in the world. A professor was deputising someone whose o level certificate is in contempt. Nigeria has the resources, (both material and human), the labour, the zeal and even the goals to achieve with all these availabilities. But, yet we are still not developing. Why? bad management! (Bribery and corruption) They want all of us to be corrupt b4 we can achieve our dreams. God forbid! |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by Nnamdipapa(m): 6:44pm On Nov 21, 2025 |
brain54:Nor mind them. Kanu is looking for another war and for our people to be destroyed. Ndigbo has come a long way since the Civil War and we resist yet the attempt of any single individual to destroy our region again. Just for the records, Biafra can NEVER be actualize through armed struggle and a lot of our people and businesses will be destroyed. I understand Igbo history and Biafra more than Nnamdi Kanu and more educated and exposed than the him. He should desist from poisoning the mind of our people against other regions in Nigeria and YES, Nigeria is a country. |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by Nnamdipapa(m): 6:46pm On Nov 21, 2025 |
Nwaiyoo:Igbo want to succeed but some Ignos are supporting Kanu to burn down the South East, tell me how to reconcile this level of cognitive dissonance? |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by brain54(m): 6:49pm On Nov 21, 2025 |
Nnamdipapa:Most of "your people" are too emotional... And it's an hindrance and a major challenge and does no good to the cause they are fighting for! |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by Nwaiyoo: 6:54pm On Nov 21, 2025 |
Nnamdipapa:MNK did not burn down south east. Even, MNK's house was among the buildings destroyed. So, let's tell ourselves the truth. His parents were also victims. |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by Nnamdipapa(m): 6:59pm On Nov 21, 2025 |
brain54:100% agree and Kanu is exploiting the low emotional intelligence of our people. I am a student of history and I conluded Ojukwu should have been executed and not pardoned for his role in the civil war. If that had happened, we wouldn't be have an Nnamdi Kanu today causing unrest in the SE. We are too emotional and prone to outburst of emotion than rational thinking. Thank God for people like my state governor, HE Prof. Soludo. We cannot be making the same mistakes all over again. |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by Nnamdipapa(m): 7:02pm On Nov 21, 2025 |
Nwaiyoo:MNK should keep his IPOB in Abia state, we Anambrarians are too smart to identify with such a rabblerouser and, MNK is not good for the SE. If you doubt me, go listen to his videos urging ndigbo to attack and kill military personnel in the state while he and is family are safely ensconsed in London. I am glad he got life imprisonment. |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by Nobody: 7:22pm On Nov 21, 2025 |
Nnamdipapa:You should be ashamed of yourself. A very big shame. I even thought you had some level of intelligence. You just exposed yourself. Who has your rational thinking helped? Many of you are yet to realise how Nigeria is configured to keep your likes in perpetual bondage. Ojukwu executed? How? You for execute am na. The same issues that made Ojukwu declare Biafra are still persistent in Nigeria today albeit in a more organised way. What I find funny is how you still tactically avoid the major point this thread is trying to solve. Let me repeat it again; If Nigeria Was Working, Would There Be An IPOB Or Nnamdi Kanu? Let me help you get some exposure. The major reason Ojukwu declared Biafra was that Igbos were being killed massively in the North and the federal government failed to address this evil. The Biafra war started proper because Gowon reneged on the Aburi accords. Same thing is happening decades after. People were being killed by herdsmen. Nigeria failed totally. Her politicians were doing nothing. Nnamdi Kanu I believe saw the lapse in genuine leadership and decided to take over the mantle. What he did and his intentions are not bad. His methodologies may be questionable though. All these truths are out there but the evil nature that is inherent in many of you will never allow you to see these truths. You mentioned Soludo as one you are thanking God for. Is it because he thinks he is smart by being anti Igbo in all his comments? To curry federal favour? And maybe get a VP slot in the future? Na today? Many of you are under bondage and are yet to open your eyes to how Nigeria perceives your tribe. Oga, Ogbonnaya Onu did worse than this. How did it end up for him? The video of him crying at APC primary is still out there. In a country with normal human beings, who is more INTELLECTUALLY SOUND AND EXPOSED between Buhari and Ogbonnaya Onu? To lead Nigeria to greater heights? Ogbonnaya Onu of course! He beats Buhari hands down in all indexes of life. But you saw how the system chose Buhari above Ogbonnaya Onu. Even here on Nairaland, many of the abnormal humans that fill Nigeria were of the opinion that they will still accept Buhari even if he presents a NEPA CERTIFICATE. How did that end up for Nigeria? Right before your very eyes, Nigeria is listed in all the negative indexes as the champion. But the evil in you will never allow you agree to this truth. The day Soludo will be tagged a local champion is coming. You do be surprised the amount of files these people that are holding Nigeria down have on him to pull him down immediately he declares for presidency. Should we bet? |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by odejimioflagos: 7:35pm On Nov 21, 2025 |
What is the point of this thread? Even if you agree Nigeria is not working, what does that have to do with Kanu and IPOB? |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by Adaisback(f): 8:56am On Nov 22, 2025 |
SeraphicWind:I always respect you and I do respect your opinion. Nigeria is too terrible, it is even worse now but I have to be honest with you sir, with Kanu's Biafra, you will not breath, he will play God and order for the death of anyone he likes. Go and find out why Uche Mefor and some of his inner cactus left . You dare not go against him or he will kill you. I want a working igbo nation coz let's be honest here, our Nigeria delta brothers have told us plainly that they cannot be part of Kanu's Biafra . We want a peaceful and democratic igbos nation under a good leader with Peter Obi or Alex Otti's qualities not that of a deranged troubled man |

Ni Nnamdipapa:Kanu was warned of the futility of use of force, he assumed those who prefare peaceful disintegration are fools. Now that he's been rail road into a ditch, those who got him there should get him out. I'll see him when he gets out, if he ever gets out. |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by Nobody: 3:50pm On Nov 25, 2025 |
Adaisback:Ada, you can say that again. Honestly, I don't believe in some certain things Nnamdi Kanu may have said or done. Most of the things he said are plain wickedness and evil. Like calling for the death of Kumuyi. I am a strong believer that only God has the power to take and give life. No human being should have the power of killing anyone physically unless sanctioned by a judge or the law. Now that being said, the people Nnamdi Kanu is fighting is no better. I am talking about the Nigerian government, the Nigeria Police and the Nigeria military. Even the legislature and the judiciary are not left out. These 5 arms of the Nigerian government are a shame when compared to what I have seen in many countries. My personal grade for them will be a huge F9. They failed God and humanity. Nigeria by and large is akin to a criminal empire. What I am saying may not make sense to you till you step foot into a 1st world country like Canada or Denmark. You will be surprised if you don't start behaving like Kanu and call for the total removal of Nigerian leaders. From their politics to their religion. You may even demand extreme measures for them. These people are pure evil. They have done a lot to Nigeria and Nigerians. As an aside, I honestly don't believe in Kanu's leadership methodology. He has some qualities that are similar to Hitler which makes me quiet uncomfortable. If those people get to power, their discipline may make things work initially. But their nazi style of leadership will mess things up on the long run. It may even become a wicked dictatorship. That I am not sure off because Nnamdi Kanu that I have seen his behaviour has compassion for the poorest of the poor and downtrodden. But he hates the elites so much. This is why the elites hate him so much too. Ada, when was the last time you heard those intimidating and siturbing sirens in Eastern Nigeria? A small boy will pick one dollar. Kpam! 50 mobile policemen! Is that life? This is why Cubana them hate Kanu. Their showmanship ended with Kanu's influence which is a good thing. So as much as their are things that disturb me about the Kanu persona, that does not mean that I reject all his messages. Some of his messages are pure gospel truth. E.g; There was a day he said that Nigerian leaders don't have any connection to those they are leading. This is 100% gospel truth. If as a leader you don't understand what it means to sleep under excruciating heat because all your life has been under air condition from Office to Car and even to church, why would you bother giving your people 24/7 electricity? So that they can enjoy fan at least? To such a leader, his people are undeserving of chilled air. Is that not wickedness? This is the reason there has been massive joy in Abia state since Alex Otti arrived. The Joy and Aura he carries is pure goodness. It is so different from the Evil that follows the Kalus around. Abians are so happy even when he does not work. This is what Nigerians lost in Peter Obi. Nothing gives one joy than being able to relate with your leader. This is also why Ekiti people loved and Love Fayose a lot. He is a homeboy leader. Look at Tinubu. A stone hearted, cold-blooded persona claiming to be a leader. In conclusion, I AM A STRONG ADVOCATE OF A BIFRAN REPUBLIC! Not the Kanu style though. Like you correctly said, a peaceful and democratic Igbos nation under a good leader with Peter Obi or Alex Otti's qualities is all I keep on praying to God everyday. I LOVE DEMOCRACY SO MUCH. Nnamdi Kanu operates with fear which is anti-democratic. I can't wait the day Igbos will be finally free from those people on the two other sides. I am talking about the Northerners and the Yorubas. I don't hate them. But let them go their way. Far away. We have nothing in common with them. |
