BigDickProblems: . we have been in this business since 2019 , and have been an ardent follower of this great thread since it's inception,in the days of GeorgeD and sathob! several hundreds of people from this thread have bought and have been using my battery for several years now. also we keep improving the quality of our batteries as the times goes. all my alternate accounts are affiliated with my business name. we don't need too much convincing, our track records speaks for us. cheers. |

Dreamhans1:unfortunately, I got no personal experience here. na Normal AC submersible me dey use. Initially, wanted to use DC but after doing ma research both online and offline, wasn't okay with my findings and since they're pricey for my level, I kukuma respect mySelf. I no sabi buy wetin I no fit maintain or wetin go force me downGrade. |

Valto:for the mere fact you've actively and consistently been in this line of business since 2019 means you have gotten much better over time. It's quite understandable when people try seeking for past reviews especially for such pricey products so abeg try understand. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 8:57pm On Nov 25, 2025 |
BigDickProblems:unfortunately, no method is completely foolProof. if only nairaland gree modernize their website, adverts in here ought to be in market section where you see sold items with real reviews (to fake it means to act like a customer and buy them yourself). Even amazon get plenty fake reviews. major issue with we Nigerians be say we no dey too drop reviews like Oyinbo pipu hence to do review on that valtechs product eh, you fit really search tire |

Valto:Ok. That’s great. My advise to him was that of someone sitting on the fence, he can do with it whatever he wants. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Nobody: 11:32pm On Nov 25, 2025 |
seepanel:Bro this is the answer to this question from my previous post: Your chest freezer consumes 733wh in a day Bro. Meaning that if you are going for tubular multiply your value by 2. In this case 1.5Kwh. Meaning 1.5Kwh and above should serve you. Btw, Bro I see you are a big fan of tubular battery 😂. Well, I would advise you try have an open mind and consider a LifePo4 battery. A 1.2Kwh of Lithium battery will serve you with no stress, and you will always thank God you saw my post. All the best. |

Valto:Mr. Valto, nice job you are doing. The only thing I would appreciate is if you tell potential customers your price. You seem to keep it hidden and want us to ask you for the price of your batteries, which to me is not the best policy. I remember the issue came up here some months back and you said that the reason you don't post price here is because of nairaland blocking/deleting them. However, I have noticed that even on your WhatsApp handle, you don't post prices whenever you post your batteries. You always use terms like "for sale at discounted price", but what are those discounted prices? No one knows unless we come and ask you. I don't think WhatsApp blocks anyone for posting price of their products on their WhatsApp status. So, I guess that means your not posting prices is a deliberate action (you can correct me if I am wrong). I am not against you, in fact, I am very likely to buy a battery from you soon. I just would like to see the prices of your batteries whenever you post instead of having to dm you for the prices. That way, I can know the current state of prices and know how to plan my purchase decision |

harbayyoungesth:Well,I bought my first LFP battery from Valto.A 48v 2.5kw and even though I use it occasionally for my fridge and freezers it works well so far.I think it's over a year now.In fact ,I am already negotiating on getting a second one of similar capacity but pricing is still an issue ;DThere is no doubt on his ability to deliver. The only snag is that his batteries are a bit pricey but I believe he is coming down on his prices of recent. Like most LFP sellers/builders you get a better bargain if you are going for the higher capacity though. |

adibo:if u check my previous years and early this year posts on this thread , u will see i normally post prices. but as u all know , oga seun has changed a lot of things recently. as for whatsapp statuses not bearing prices ,i don't think it is a good business ethics, knowing over 50% of my clients are installers. if u are able to see my status, that means we have chatted before and your contact is saved.so dm me cheers |

Good morning friends, As discussed here sometimes back - dollarnaira take note -, for cooking, the INDUCTION COOKER is just the way forward if you are on solar. I have several other electric cooking methods, and I must say the induction tech wins so far. Heating efficiency is superb because it is only your cookware that gets hot. My observation concerning the Mama Home induction cooktop i got is that its lowest draw per time is 1000w (while highest is 1800w), even if you reduce it to the said 200 or 400, it is still a 1000w instant draw, just that it would be controlled by the thermostat (i.e going on and off intermittently so that the overall consumption per hour becomes the 200w or 400w you set). But overall, it is the best for speed, efficiency while not heavy on your system compared to what you would need to achieve same heating rate on other tech. Of course you know you need induction cookwares (bottom is magnetic) to work with it. It is worth it |

Dreamhans1:see eh, I also know about 3 people using it on their farms and one of them is actually a fish farmer. There's a reason I said PERSONALLY but that doesn't mean others can't afterall our reasons would often differ BUT personally, I don't use it. Would suggest you go for it BUT at least ensure you go for reputable brands + also ask pumping machine repairers around you to try understand their level of expertise. One thing to note is, not all DC submersible pumps are easily rePairable or even have their parts easily available + a lot of them are really SEALed up; as in dem glue am to the level you no fit unSEAL am or worst you damage am. In other words, a lot of times, you have more luck BUYing another one vs REAPRing the existing one. Speak with repairers (not installers) with knowledge about them to help you with brands and models that are easily rePairable + not SEALed. And try avoid the super cheap ones. A lot of them sef na aluminium coils full them + are sealed + parts not easily available + etc... When I said personally, it's because personally, I love to be able to have some level of assurance what I spend money one is easily rePairAble when they go bad. But your (financial) situation might differ. Don't worry - I'm not just good at telling people what they wanna hear. I just say what I wanna say; goodluck if it's what you expected |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 8:15am On Nov 26, 2025 |
omotoda:hmm; hopefully, his prices are/remain proportional to quality Ooo else make the price remain as e be OR He should create 2 or 3 segments to better cater for the 3 segments of people financially |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Dreamhans1: 11:13am On Nov 26, 2025 |
bassdow:Thanks so much. I have to visit a fish farmer I know I ask for the brand he got. Though when last we spoke, he said ," the machine is working perfectly" I'll just ask for the brand. And another area you opened my mind to is researching through those that repair it. Will do |

Dreamhans1:Also ask how long (how many years) they have been using it and if they had any challenges. Most times, you have to pry as people , by default no dey too bother to expansiate. Good luck |

litaninja: Dam5reey:This is what I came up with. Thanks to everyone who helped me decide. My thoughts on DIY Lithium 1. It is stressful. Only embark if you do not mind the stress. It is NOT a walk in the park. 2. You must know basic electricity principles. If you do not know how to check for continuity with a multimeter, it may be best for you not to continue. Read well and research before embarking. 3. First builds come with mistakes (I did not top balance, so my BMS is currently being overworked. Thinking of opening the case to charge some cells individually. Tips will be appreciated). 4. If you do not already have tools and materials from other projects, it may NOT be cheaper than buying, for the first build. I could cut down costs because I had materials from other projects e.g. 250A MCCB. I cheaped out on the terminals; I used the hanger that came with the electric cabinet. 5. It is FUN and you will learn a LOT - wiring, behavior of materials, tools, etc. Subsequent builds will be much faster. 6. Before you use cheaper materials, do your research o. I abandoned the wooden box I created and went for metal after suggestions on this thread, because this is my first LFP build. Mrreed and Valto can use wood because they are experienced and have some design secrets first timers do not have. Safety first, if you are a first-timer. 7. Double-check everything. I went through all the screws again before deploying, only to find out two were not well tightened. 8. Youtube videos from foreigners are mostly useless when it comes to procuring materials. A lot of the things they have there, we do not have or are difficult to source (e.g. fire-resistant cement case and fire-resistant graded wood). Seek local threads for guidance. 9. Eat well before embarking. Drilling and cutting are not easy. 10. Stop working whenever you are tired, before you drill or cut yourself.

dollarnaira:This are why sun king, beebee jump and other paygo companies thrive (I think sun King is the only company dominating most in Nigeria) Less than 250k and you have a functional independent system. To draw debt hard sha I no really blame Nigerian companies why no too dey put hand ![]() |
