Its a pity that a very small country of only 2 million people is still not organized. Power hungry soldiers everywhere. These places are too small anyways to be standalone countries. |

Can we blame the khaki boys? The answer is no. Since the politician's cardinal objectives is to loot national Treasury and nothing else. What's happening Nigeria today is far worst than these other countries. I bet if such thing happens in Nigeria tomorrow, millions will hit the streets to celebrate. |

Democracy is overrated. Good leadership is what matters and that is scarce in Africa. Both contestants in this Guinea Bissau election claimed victory. A whole major opposition party was barred from contesting. "Democracy" where one idiot wanted to cling to power by crookery. |

They just want to have a of power and embezzling the country without vision towards progression. Malians, Burkinabes, Niger, Chad etc can testify to government behind the barrel of guns. |

jahsharon:In as much as I will never support a coup because they are worse, however, it is only GOD'S infinite mercy that will help Tinubu survive beyond 2026/2027. It looks really bleak, believe me. Local and international forces are seriously not on his side. |

This ineffective weak civilian leaders in West Africa have made coups too easy, just a few soldiers and gunshots here and there and the coup is successful in all this countries Mali, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Niger now Guinea Bissau, they made it too easy, coups should never be this easy. And also Ecowas weak response to the Niger coup, by threatening the coup plotters and then chickening out basically emboldened this useless soldiers who are not different from the people they are overthrowing. |
