Tinubu is a pretender! He should send an executive bill to the national assembly for the establishment of state police if he is serious! |

God1000:Trust him at your own peril. I started disregarding him, when he got the Supreme Court judgement on local government, only to use it to force stealing governors into his party. Baba Oshi! |

Here they go again touting another cliché with the state police narrative just like they did with subsidy removal. It's a way for him to absolve himself from responsibility while retaining all personal benefits. State police may be good but it's not a silver bullet. Nigeria is battling terrorism, not petty crime. |

ElSudani:We all know he cannot unilaterally create state police but the will power of the Executive is paramount. How long did it take him to get the National Assembly to revert to the previous National Anthem? If the Presidency wants State police he will get it done. |

Thank you. Best decision I have heard in the 5th Republic. Next will be the last but not least (as a matter of fact the most important) federating unit, local government police services. Then we can truly isolate insecurity and properly hold administrators at these levels completely liable for a activities within their jurisdictions. Then let me see how they will sponsor bandits against the people who elected them or export them to other territories. Enough is enough. |

Atoh, this man don Dey get sense small small, even though violence had to escalate to this level before him brain kick it’s still a welcome development. What we are facing is a collective struggle and it’s bigger than party interest and individual interest. |

Ojiofor:State police is prone to abuse in Nigeria by the governors. Nevertheless it is not a bad idea. Here in the USA, each county ( Local Government)has its own police department with their jurisdiction restricted to their county and their badges and vehicles clearly marked in very large fonts. So within minutes of an event, you will get at least 4 cars on sight. They are always on patrol 24 hours ready to respond as dispatched |

State police must come with removing immunity for governors, only the president should have that. |

Oga President, your order that police should be withdrawn from individuals is not working o. Today, in my very eyes, I saw two mobile police men guarding one white lady and one young Nigerian who appeared like a fraudster. I was very ashamed of the scene. A disgraced country indeed |

otipoju:We are talking of saving lives, you are talking of abuse...some of you are definitely holding brief for terrorists and kidnappers. Evil people. Is federal police not abused? In everything in life you look at pros and cons, the pros of state police is definitely higher than the cons...you people are a problem. |

State police? Why don't they deploy the f'ing Army? I think Tinubu is afraid to engage the army because of the recent coup that almost took place. Guy something is truly wrong with this man. Police do not and will never go after bandits. They only hunt yahoobois. This man is actually not ready to do anything about this issue. Expect more kidnapping and death from these people |

Druss:Are you in every state? Aboki tell your governor not to have, you can't speak for others. You don't live everywhere, focus on your state and north region. In this true federalism we are entering, every state for itself... people are dying you are talking of abuse, you people are evil. |
