I was at the launch of the new Orca Mall in the Business District of Eko Atlantic City, Lagos.

The project reflects the kind of city we are building. We are shaping a Lagos that attracts investment, supports jobs and gives our people places they can be proud of.

I am encouraged by the dedication behind this development. Projects like this strengthen our economy, build confidence in the business environment and create real opportunities for Lagosians.

The mall is massive. All those small stores in VI selling overpriced goods will surely lose a lot of customers.

When a region is peaceful investors will move in.. South west is the heart of Nigeria.

This mall is so beautiful but isolated. Being in Eko Atlantic, only God knows how much they will be selling their things. I'll visit it and check it soon.

Development is not just the responsibility of the government; it's a contributory effort between the government and the people.

Lagos State has the advantage of private sector participation (PPP) in most of its projects because there are many businesses in Lagos.

One of the beds for instance costs 9 million NGN at the Orca mall. It's gonna cater for a high-end clientele no doubt. Eko Atlantic City is indeed already developing gradually with more buildings springing up such as the BIGGEST United States Embassy in the world which is already nearing completion, the Rugby School, the BIGGEST mall in Nigeria called Orca Mall, the media outlet TVCs new highrise headquarters, the new Airtel Nigeria headquarters, First Bank's new headquarters and more.

Eko keep processing , while notherners keep disructing their states and the vampires keep socking innocent bloods.

Just wondering what a whole Governor is doing cutting ribbon for a Mall located in the State he governs? what exactly is his business being there at all? there are other pressing issues he needs to address nahhh. Afterall, the Mall is located in a local municipality or government or LCDA whatever they call it. These departments or extension of governments should be the one cutting this ribbon if at all any government official need to be present anyways. I mean, the ideal situation is a city bringing in investors by offering business related incentives (Tax free to the city or whatever), it is supposed to be a sort of concession by the city to an investor!
Anyways, what is the Governors business in the sort of inauguration? Absolutely none. Because of a Mall - and so what Mall? of all things? There are other pressing social issues battling the State.
Just wondering - why have retinue of commissioners, special advisers (on public fund payroll) - yet you as the Governor still created time for such irrelevant venture by just "a business entity" - all dressed up - disrupt transportation system for few minutes to cut a ribbon for something you do not have a business with in the first place A WHOLE STATE Elected GOVERNOR
