As so often with Donald Trump it was a half-digested news item that prompted him to reach for his box of matches. After watching a segment on Fox News about attacks on Nigerian Christians, the US president took to Truth Social for one of his customary blasts. If Nigeria didn’t stop the killings, he warned, he would deploy the US military “guns-a-blazing” to get the job done. “If we attack, it will be fast, vicious and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our CHERISHED Christians.”Source: https://www.ft.com/content/e0f05941-8a5d-40c2-9d36-7aaf164e10f2

The focus should be on the situation in Nigeria and not on the foreigner. |

The focus should be on addressing the pressing issues at home, not on Trump. |

Massacre of Christians in the North is by design. The system that fuels the genocide is what sustains the government of Tinubu. He can't criticize or fight it else he will lose power. The system is primarily Fulani ethnosupremacy and Islamic jihadism Western liberals are the worst allies anyone can have. The same way they destroy their societies with woke ideas is what they wish to extend to Nigeria. |

But why are people trying to change the narrative? There are books and research work establishing a systemic plan to eradicate Christianity in some sections (if not all) of this country. |

You are mad! You very stupid Leaders have bluntly refused to ask and answer the hard questions They have deliberately refused to solve this problem This other region deliberately created a big mess, that big mess is affecting the whole of Nigeria today. The President lacks the balls to straighten the up, and call them to order. Tell them to stop constituting a nuisance. |

mrvitalis: It is "paid" because the man did not give you an "A, B, C" answer which is the only thing you appreciate? "Paid" because the man did not assess the situation as "Good" vs "Evil" shey? I remember the good old days without social media, when the people that knew they were not brilliant enough to analyse a situation or contribute to a topic, just kept quiet and read newspapers. Trump has got it wrong, or at best only half right in what one Nigerian commentator called a “scandalous oversimplification”. Nigeria’s problem is not that it fails to protect its Christians. It is that it fails to protect anyone of whatever faith — from criminal gangs, bandits and organised terror. Well done to the author, especially if he is oyinbo. |

![]() He's still coming. And he's welcome!!! Isn't it obvious? Emergency responses were made the moment Trump spoke to put pressure on the government. For whatever reasons known, death penalty has been issued to all Herdsmen and Boko Haram terrorists. And you're telling me the problem is bigger than Trump? I'll say it's the more reason why he's needed because if it were trivial, you'd be the first to object. Too bad... The ship has sailed!!! |

Whether it's bigger than what he thinks or not we just need to start from somewhere. |

Financial Times would not write this without inducement I am not saying they are telling the truth or not but What is their interest? Not love Who owns Financial Times? We don't need them to tell us what we already know Yes there us a Christian genocide among many other things going on and Trump might nake things worse but There are some if the criminals involved in genocide and the government is weak But it is not just the government Nigeria is weak on a very faulty foundation We don’t have money and politicians are stealing the little there is to buy houses in Miami for their children Whose children will go and die in the bush |

It is very easy 1. Take out key northern elites sponsoring terrorism 2. Secure the northern border 3. Ban almajiri system and make basic education of all children compulsory 4. Make terrorism or terrorism financing punishable by death 5. Ban sharia law in the national jurisprudence in Nigeria Let's start from there |

HgAkpobomeEr:How then will they get paid? When you see them in fancy suits and offices talking about deaths as if they are just numbers, you will realise that we don’t really count in their scheme of things. Financial Times writing about “finances” in Nigeria. They will never talk about the issues but rather work on distracting those who are ready to make it work. |
