Is it possible to have a currency which has a chip implanted which can be traced by the authorities at any given time and this can be used to stop ransom being paid to bandits and terrorists.
The IT people should be in a better position to advice on this.
Technology is the way to go to fight banditry and kidnapping taking place in Nigeria but alas the reverse is the case.
I may be wrong but I have never seen the Nigerian police force making use of drones in their operation while these terrorists have sophisticated drones.
We have a long way to go in Nigeria.

Some countries have already started testing it and Nigeria should quickly key into it for implementation.

It will be very nice, it will be easy to track bandits and terrorists just even a note that can be trace back to them will be nice.

It's possible and countries are already exploring it and may start implementing it.
Nigeria should key into it for urgent implementation.

The problem I have with most of you is that you don't understand what is even going on in Nigeria ....first and foremost the bandits are not hiding ,they maintain location and the govt knows all their location and even have contact with many of them ...how do you think families of the victims are able to find them to deliver ransom , sometimes these people even collect motorcycles as Ransome .... What you are witnessing is brazen islamist who believe they have the fire power and numbers to fight their way out of any situation and they are not wrong

Billions have been transacted between these bandits and their victims, if we can't trace those raw cash, then even chip will not do anything
