24news:Jonathan said he wouldn't call it a coup because the president announced it before the military. Did he know if it was under duress, blackmail or coercion? This man is always dull |

drawingbook:Protecting their own regardless of their atrocities and the superiority complex of not seeing another worthy of taking over power from them is one thing you can never take away from a Fulani man. Old or young, educated or illiterate, this core idealogy is ingrained in their DNA. We can act politically correct all we want, but the truth remains the truth. This is why I said it here on Nairaland, when I saw their sons as top guys in defence/security when Tinubu made his appointment, that insecurity will only get worse. It is also why I laughed at anyone advising Obi to support Atiku with the hope that he will hand over power to him. Atiku, if elected, will handover to another Fulani man, specifically El Rufai or Kwankwaso. |

African leaders will never cease to amaze me with their greed to hold on to power! Someone saw an imminent defeat he could not stomach; he called his boys in uniform to take over power. A clear case of, ”if I can't get it, no one else should”! 24news: |

onatisi:How you quickly forgot the corruption, rights abuses and impunity perpetrated during GEJ administration is not a surprise to me, bcoz I've always known you Nigerians to have a short memory. Additionally, y'all are notorious for deliberately ignoring the crime committed against you but would rather praise your oppressors bcoz of expectation of crumbs you might benefit from them. 😒 |

ernieboy:That's not the point. Of course, they can't be arrested now – since those charged with defending the constitution have chosen to betray their oaths and become bandits. That's why I said OUGHT TO be arrested. What ought to happen now is the Army arrests the president for coup plotting, declares the election results, and swears in the winner. |

Nijaforward:Hope is never a good strategy when it comes to financial/economic management and elections/governance. The people have to be resolute in their desire for a meaningful change and growth. Majority of the people have to speak with one voice with their votes, not the way most of you sell your votes to criminals for a cup of rice and 2k. |

poseidon12:• The problem most of you Nigerians have is that the education y'all acquired is not functional. You're referred to as civilians bcoz you're expected to be civilised, even in your conduct, but it appears reverse is the case. What's the need for military intervention when a civilised people conduct themselves accordingly?? With all the so called educated masses, academicians and scholars in Nigeria, would you say we're civilised? ![]() |

[quote author=Ttalk post=137631875]Rufai Oseni is a bitter journalist, an armchair journalist who talk based on sentiment and not factual. Hear Jonathan speech now should make Rufai be ashamed of himself, but that guy has no shame. Would Nigeria's reactional time been the same if they needed to extract TINUBU in the same circumstances?. Is GEJ less a VIP to TINUBU?. Why the speeches and dilydallying before action is taken on what to do in that dire situation ?. Quattara acted swiftly and is the hero of that situation. 💪 GEJ was just being DIPLOMATIC in his comments. Pay no excess attention to that. There you have your answer |
