Usman Ododo is not strong enough here.
Yahaya Bello should help his younger brother here.
The Governor is the chief security officer of the state. He should know how to get the insecurities out of the way.

Reports say police is mobilizing 'to the location' meaning those places are un-policed.

Do a head count and you will probably have a few tens of thousands of citizens resident between those places. No active police service.

And the criminals and bandits know this so planning for them is a breeze while the government and the law by structure is perpetually behind the curve, always playing catch up.

This is the law enforcement structure some want to continue...abi...

Save money and fly. Book ahead. That place is always very desolate. The old road was constructed in the 70s/80s, giving terrorists the opportunity to always have a field day. Bello is a serial failure. Smart adeyemi jost used him to secure a senate seat ni. Thats why he campaigned for him so vigorously back then. That's his constituency. Bello did nothing there eventually.

This is the book that tells it all why all these is happening without any restrictions.

These guys have a structure far more organized that even the Nigeria government care to admit. Have you wondered how they are able to move hundreds of people and feed and house them for months without our troops finding where they are?

Please guys, go find this book and read it and thank me later.

I got my copy here.

This highway attack by hundreds of armed men is an indication that an army of occupation is advancing on Nigeria, town by town.

The level of organization that it takes to set up a massive highway ambush with hundreds of shooters, means that an effective and battle-tested company-level command structure is in place where small disorganized armed terrorist groups once operated.

If you are not willing to travel to Abuja by air, then consider an outright cancellation of the trip to avoid the growing danger on those roads.

The fact is that people see the massing of these armed groups before their operations but there are no structures or channels on ground for the average citizen to report to.

Security they say is everyone"s business but where is the market to trade information.

Developed countries have emergency networks. You call and there is always a reply and always a dispatch. No matter where you are there is security jurisdiction, someone's responsibility. There are no un-policed spaces.

Someone is responsible for that area and in rural places in other countries most citizens know the policemen by name, know where they live and interact with such officers on a daily basis. That is security being everyone's business in truth. Policing at the grassroots, at the street level and at the service to the people.

It does not take 'special orders' for police to be deployed to incident scenes in America, Great Britain, China, India or Saudi Arabia.

Watching a recent video clip showing civilians running helter-skelter as gunfire rent the air during broad daylight in the major town of Lokoja, with no sign of a Nigerian military counter-attack underway, it dawned on me that there is NO emergency response phone number available to Nigerian citizens so that they can alert the armed forces of any ongoing terrorist activity.

In other words, if a major town like Lokoja that is home to tens of thousands of people could be so easily overrun by armed terrorists without any response from nearby military formations, it follows logically that NO town or city anywhere in Nigeria is safe from falling to a murderous Islamist army of occupation specializing in mass abductions similar to the slave raids of history.

One can only hope that this presumption of mine is NOT accurate, and that all state and federal governmental information services in Nigeria will soon publish emergency terror alert contact numbers that can be texted to all phone subscribers preemptively.
