This is a new low now.
I just hope this will not be the new format or template that would be used in other godforsaken African countries.

Read the last paragraph very well. The coup was staged by the opposition instead, perhaps because they lost the election.
You ought to read it again, the opposition are saying the coup was staged

If the people of Guinea Bissau do not reject the madness, very little can be done. AU and ECOWAS should sanction Guinea Bissau and all the actors participating in this shenanigans.

This is what some so called "lovers of democracy" wanted in Nigeria because their candidate lost a free and fair election in 2023.
AU ecowas? Tell me specifically what powers those guys have to do anything?

If you have ever lived in Europe or the west, you will know that Nigeria can never be great and achieve it's full potentials. The major reason is because foundation on which Nigeria was built is faulty.

The only solution is split up the country into segments or regions and let's start building from the beginning

Honestly, things like that are needed in some African countries. You can imagine if Jonathan had done this in his election dilemma, Nigeria would have probably been a better country now

Whether it is a phony coup or rigged elections, the goal is same: In Nigeria it was internet glitch, in Niger and Burkinafaso et al military coup, now in Guinea Bissau it is a civilian stage-managed military take over. No difference, only in strategy

This will remain a new tactics that other African unpopular leaders will adopt when an ongoing election isn't going in their favor.

This was micro- test ran in rivers state by Wike and Tinubu through the state of emergency, and it went successfully.

Current african leaders are smart for bad reasons, and it portends dangers not only for the growth of democracy, but also overall development of Africa with dire consequences on our well-being and quality of lives.

This is the funniest response I have seen on Nairaland.
And you’re absolutely correct.
It’s a case of if I can’t have, then you won’t have it.

What’s the difference between staging a coup with military and staging a coup with judiciary?

Most of us Nigerians are very funny beings.
