Dreamhans1:Get a DC solar powered submersible pump. With 4/6 nos of 400/500w solar panels you are good to go.

mctfopt:I see hzsolar on the pic you posted. Though I've settled for my home after discussing with current users. What's your take on hzsolar DC submersible |

Drgreatone:I appreciate all the feedback. Thank you all very much. My 3.6kWh 24V battery was installed yesterday, and it works perfectly My special thanks to valto, i look forward to doing more business with him. |

the time to go the DIY route is now get your brand new grade A 314ah cells with actual capacity of 330ah and above for as low as 87.999. ![]()

Polaris1:The problem is trying to convince someone whose mind is kinda already made up. If He got the funds, let him buy it as it would serve him well. hopefully, he doesn't put price as priority because na low quality plenty for market |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 9:40am On Nov 29, 2025 |
Valto:Are you aware some of us don't know the voltage of these batteries / cells ? Would be helpful if you don't just say 314ah but equally include it's voltage. e get why. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 9:43am On Nov 29, 2025 |
Dreamhans1:I quite understand you BUT hopefully you quite aware say dem dey thief Submersible pumps. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Dreamhans1: 10:18am On Nov 29, 2025 |
bassdow:Not the submersible, them fit come see free batteries, inverter and other carry go. But with DC, it's just panel, pump n controller. I can even be removing the pump atimes, but I can't be moving batteries. Despite having a store house there. |

What's a tested and trusted 1.5hp inverter AC that cools well and is a true inverter model (not just inverter on the branding) and is perfect for 3.6kw hybrid inverters? Make and model will be perfect so I can go source the exact one. |

bassdow:I am confused. Surely anyone who doesn't know the voltage of a typical LIFEPO4 cell has no business attempting DIY and is obviously not the target market..... especially since that person can come back with bad reviews for something he never even understood |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by truthbetold22: 9:47pm On Nov 29, 2025 |
bassdow:You just want to be seen to be commenting on every single post. Which DIYer doesn’t know the voltage of lithium cells? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 2:48am On Nov 30, 2025 |
AndroBlaze:You're quite RIGHT except situation of things (cost of living + epileptic power supply) has caused those who ordinarily shouldn't have any business with a screw driver to suddenly want to go the path of DIY believeing it's cost effective. On 3 occassions, have had to explain to those who thought they've found the cheapest Lithium batteries that they were kinda mistaken. Their (mis)understanding was for instance, see this item by @valto "Brand New Rept 3.2v 314ah Lifepo4 Lithium Battery With 10,000 Cycles for ₦88,999" , if written as "Brand New Rept 314ah Lifepo4 Lithium Battery With 10,000 Cycles for ₦88,999" , a lot of inExperienced/unInformed pals wouldn't know it's 3.2v hence would be needing a minimum of 4pcs just for 12v alone. Let's not bother about the other required accessories. So you see, sometimes it's never safe to assume everyOne knows what they doing hence reason I tend to sound somehow. e get one wey happen very recently - Oga was happy He found cheap batteries from the https://www.nairaland.com/7902446/diy-lithium-ion-like-minds/ thread BUT suddenly got paranoid that they might be fake for being so Cheap. Had to point out to him those are just cells of 3.2v and not yet a battery. |

Could this battery be original? I saw it on Temu. I want to consider buying it but I am doubting the capacity and there is no review on it yet

AndroBlaze:Nigerians. Bl0odÿ Nigerians. Grandmasters of knowlegde 😑. So a beginner who just opened this thread for the first time will know the voltage of a typical LifePo4? If everybody knows all these things, why was this thread created? Omo I give up. Your comment (just like most Nigerians) reeks of pride. You just feel you all know it all and discourage people from asking questions like a beginner. Haba. |

BigDickProblems:I am not sure what is scratching you, but when the thing has finished biting you finish, you might want to read my comment slowly, in context. I mean if after all the time you spent on this thread you still think it's ok for a beginner jump into DIY of lithium batteries without the most basic of knowledge, which is demonstrated by not understanding the concept of CELLS (it was spelled out in the original post), then you obviously need to spend your time on something more fruitful as you cannot be of help to anyone, including yourself. Caveat emptor holds for most things in life, how a rational person will think it doesn't hold for something with the ability to be combustible and explosive when handled by the ill prepared, is beyond my mind. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAAxeXhmQuE?si=i40YOzyUCNvndkmg |

Abeg people, This is my first lithium build and the cell voltages are doing as they like, even with the so called balancer that came with the BMS. I want to ask a question for those with experience: 1. Is using a separate active balancer OK, even with the BMS balancer? 2. How many amps active balancer will a 15 KWH battery require? 3. Is there any advantage with a smart active balancer vs. a dumb one? - NB: Still balancing out my cells, but I do not know if the 2A supposedly active balancer will be useful if any imbalance occurs again. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Gshems: 10:14am On Dec 01, 2025 |
Tdoctor:i think it may take a while for the 2a balancer to balance your 15kw battery. But it will balance it anyways. You can try discharging your battery till your cells are below 3.0.. Then charge it. Also check if your balancer is on through your app to be sure. If you call also screenshot the voltages of the cells so people can give you a better advice |
