There were Igbos as teachers and some as head teachers. Those of them that retired are enjoying their pension. I have a relation. The free education of the government was enjoyed by igbo children. Free waec fees and books were given.

Compare the above and Abia. When it was created out of old Imo state some civil servants of Imo origin were transferred to Abia. All none indigens that were transferred were sacked by Abia state government.

Again he twisted the death sentence on Boro and hid mischievously the fact that Ironsi commuted the death sentence to life imprisonment. You know in a classic manipulator style that was what he did.

The level of hate Yorubas have for Igbos today started from Tinubu government. It was one of the tools he used in winning the heart of the Yorubas. He made it look like Igbos were Yourba problem and so must be attacked and his people bought into it. He didn't stop there he took it to federal level and people like Reno understand his game and played it well, today he has been compensated for doing that.

My take is this, Igbo is a great tribe, come what may nothing changes about that. They will continue to wax strong and thrive with or without Nigeria, even Obasanjo have publicly said so.
